Pulling Mithra tails?

Is this an actual emote in the game? I've heard it mentioned several times.

I don't know the answer to you question but I have a favor to ask along the same lines of this post so insteand of a new topic I will post it in here. Will someone post all emotes, like what you type to do them and what they do?

You can customize a macro that does emotes...but so far noi havent seen one actually there. But i did pull alot in beta XD

/em "ur own text"

this puts the emote text within the range of "say." also, use of /em automatically adds ur name in the front. so, for instance, type this too make that kinda thing (onto whoever u have a target of);

/em "pulls <t>'s tail hard!! looks like it hurts!! (;?Kƒ??K)"

this turns to be (in my case);

Bside pulls Carbon's tail hard!! looks like it hurts!! (;?Kƒ??K)

(i don't mean to hurt ya, Carbon. :spin: )

also, u can customize ur own emote by doing this;

putting "motion" after the basic emote results in only the motion is shown and no text comes up. on the other hand, putting "text" afterwards omits the motion, and the text shows up

so, in case of tarutaru, this might look nice;

/em ": man, i'm so happy that i should dance!"
/panic motion

this consumes 2 lines so better have a macro for this, but doing this macro should look cute. :spin: just so u know, taru's panic looks like dancing.


u should be able to find a list of emotes in the manual, so look for it.

Why is it fun to grab mithra tails? Because just like in real life its fun to grab cat tails. Silly question

A few friends in game are always grabbing my tail.

As for the emote list... read the manual. Page 94 has a list, so does the small cardboard fold-out.

People have really got to start reading the manual.

it's a crime against nature. do NOT pull a mithras tail. Pull the wrong mithra's tail and she'll use a 200 skill WS on your behind.

So like in EQ, its possible to do one animated emote but input your own text. I was wondering if you could do that in FFX.

So you put the emote on first line and then the animated emote like
/panic motion
on the second.

When someone start to pull my tail i found that kinda funny ( if its a friend) and i enter their game, and slap them .

But whats being anoying is when people tell that you r sexy, grab your butt, etc. and its start to have sexual content. If after i asked them to stop they continue (normally not). i just blast them about its a mmorpg and they should go play to Dead or Alive volleyball if they want that style of game.

I just don't respond or do something horrorificly rude. however it's rare someone does thng like that to me. I don't think anyone has actually. They just yank my tail or my ears and are met with free facial cosmetic surgery.

I have a friend in game that always pulls my tail - he says the way it sways around constantly just begs for it to be pulled
