Overall Great and Fun Play?

Well Im a new adventurer to FFXI and Asking a couple of questions to a the more seasoned of players regarding Fun and ease of play of certain character types and Jobs If you could let me know that would be great. I guess if the top two answers could be give that would be helpful

1. What Job and Sub class or character as a whole are the most important in middle levels 25-45? (minus our healers)

2. At more advanced Levels 46-66 What job and subjob class or character as a whole are the most important?(minus healer)

3. In the middle levels what Jobs are the easiest to Get an invite to partys? What jobs are the most important?(minus WHM)

4. In the High levels what jobs and subjobs are the easiest to get and invite to partys? What jobs are the most importnat? (Minus WHM)

5. What is the Best way specifically for a person Make Money in VAn Daiel?

6. I am in the mid 20's right now should i be focusing on Money? Leveling? Missions? Quests?

7. Is there any Tricks or Tips that would make the playing easier or funner? dont think thats a word

1. Well, you must ALWAYS have some warriors, and any job with elemental magic helps in the long run. (AND HEALERS!)

2. It really all depends. As long as you don't have too many people of one type of job bunched up, and you keep a balance, the characters' jobs don't severely affect a party's efficiency.

3. Tanks, tanks, and tanks.

4. It kind of balances out here for fighters and mages/spellcasters here, because by now, the mages will obviously have better spells than their primitive ones.

5. Selling things is always the quickest route, in general.

6. It depends. Even it all out, but always have fun. You like leveling? Go level. Loving those missions? Go knock yourself out. Remember, it's a game. It's for fun.

7. Try to mingle with people. Sociability is vital in this game (and in any other MMORPG for that matter). And....hell, have MORE fun! :sweat:

Tusko has some great responses here. It should be noted that specific jobs are more in demand at certain times than others. I
ll only detail the first 50 levels, as I only got to level 50 in beta. Perhaps an importer can fill in the blanks.

Level 1-10: All jobs solo

Level 11-20: WHM, tank(WAR or PLD) are the key components to groups here. THF is important if you are still hunting for subjob quest items at level 15+.

Level 21-30: WHM, tank(WAR/PLD/NIN) are most important here BRD start becoming important due to Mage's Ballad. Raise becomes important for WHM. BLM get Escape at 29, which becomes the key to advancing safely through later levels.

Level 31-40: THF starts becoming important, as Trick Attack starts showing its strength around these levels. BRD and RDM start coming into their strength here as well, with the irreplaceable Magic Finale and Dispel. WHM get Teleport during this period, which increases their desirability.

Level 40-50: This is the point where quirky characters level slowly, if at all. Enemies start getting seriously powerful, and incompetent players and character builds begin to fall by the wayside here. WHM becomes essential for Shellra II and Protectra III during this period.

Notes about advanced jobs: All advanced jobs get good attention at virtually all levels, with the exception of SMN and BST. As a rule, BRD, NIN, SAM, DRK, PLD, DRG, and RNG all get good reactions at pretty much all levels.

SMN have a difficult time getting parties until level 25, when they get MP Refresh (and Garuda's Group Blink ability).

BST are almost never invited into parties, as they are designed primarily as a solo class.

At very high levels(60+), I have been told that the most important jobs are PLD, RDM, BRD, THF, and WHM.

Find a bard friend and have them put "Set PT with <yourname>" in their search comment :p
