Chocobo knight....VERY DOABLE:)

    1st it would be impossible to make any Chocobo go over montain!
    This game is not made that way,they would have to change the whole concept of all map!

    This isent Final Fantasy VII!
    U dont explore the world the same way!

    And the coolest way to get the Chocobo for the Chocobo Knight would be a Song,Skill,Magic or an special Instrument that call the chocobo where ever u are in a map and the chocobo just appear running at u and stop by u!

    Something like Gandalf when he call Shadow Fax (Two Tower)

      zent man who wants to wait for their chocobo everytime that would get annoying... only 2 cons I just thought about is that if a class is faster than the rest of the world they will be invincible (PvP and PvE) especially if they can't get rooted. And the ability to fly is ridiculously unbalanced you might as well be God.

        These pros could be balenced. Something like maybe a limited flight time, and then a stat reduction for a time, making you less powerful.

          Thats all good and fine but in the planned updates i see no mention of multi-colored chocobo's....not to mention it doesnt really do you any good to post you're idea here...why not actually send you're idea to square to see if they'd even consider it....hell if it's even possible....

            but any how i like your idea of hte new area conqeust, for the war vs war, weapon and subjob as well as equip can change a match up effectivly daxwell. and for the mage vs mage, under the current spell system, its almost impossible to effective escape a spell via way of ducking behind obstacles. sure ifyou can move before he finishes charging but if you try to counter hit with a spell your both standing there. the thf vs thf sound good but the only effective way would be to play in 1st person mode so you wont see the other thf sneaking up on you, of course you should have diffrent area floors ie water, dirt, meta, stone so that you can to the challenge and the startedgy. pld vs pld sounds cool but its just the who has the highest hp/def.

            all in all it sounds good but people might start createing charecter specificly for arena although it may take a few months to get it to lv to 60-70. if that happens then there wont be much of a challenge for some job/races. also on the thing of equipment, some might just copy the equip of another payer as the "most effecient setup for suchnsuch arean" then it gets plain there too.

            your chobi idea sounds good.

            your conquest idea sounds good, hmm capture the flag... well i would say instead of flags there would be ceartin enimies(monsters) and you would have to deal with them as well as the other kingdom. teh flag idea is good but over used in my opinion.

            any how good over all conquest/arena setup *stares at tazaria supisciously* >_>

            I think square knows ffxionline.com exists, and may have well read mty posts, BUt I am a freestyle idea person, dont work very well in a corporate environment. I DO however love to come up with ideas, and get folks opions , so did I answer your question or are you suspicious also ^^

              couldnt you just have the Chocobo Knight be alot like a dragoon. Chocobo would be a 2 hr ability where you call and get on a chocobo till it dies.however side effect would happen like attack speed cut in 1/2 (aka wait time doubled) but damage double???

              He could focus on Lance skills.

              once he is on ground he is like a weaker warrior. only slightly lower attack and defense. Take the 1/2 way point between Warrior and Paladin/Dark Knight.

              note: when on chocobo hp is times by doubled. So a level 12 Elvaan Chocobo knight would be normal 204 health, would have 408 health.

              Also he would have to buy armor for him and his mount. While on the chocobo his attack and defense are like 1/2 way between Warrior and Paladin/Dark knight.

              If you do this its an expensive class with huge reward and pitfalls.

                One time.... I made a chocobo by breeding and ostrich and and a golden hen. J/k... but it makes ya wonder.

                  Too overpowered. Add reagents for everytime you summon the chocobo, that'd make more sense.

                      Yes, from FF12.

                      The chocobo would be wearing armor, and weighed down to the rest of the party's speed.

                      Abilities would revolve around the chocobo. Chocoscratch, chocoball, like from FFT.

                      If you weren't on the chocobo, you'd have no abilities.

                      Chocobos would be bought from the stables and have no time or zone limits.

                      The Chocobo Knight 2hr would up the power of the chocobo or something to that effect.

                      Polearm would be the preffered weapon.

                      Chocobo abilties would cause different statuc effects like slow, poison, and possible party haste/heal.

                        If you removed the chocobo's abilities to go over different terrain and fly, etc., gave them armor that slowed them down..

                        Maybe decrease the bonus speed because of the armor; at level one, you get maybe 2% speed bonus to regular walking speed, then as your choco's color changes, it goes up to 3%, then 4%, and finally 5%, and an ability identical to "Flee."

                        Make their "A" weapon a spear, or some other weapon that's longer-ranged...

                        Use special chocobo instruments that must be quested for at certain levels to call the chocobos..

                        Just reduce the class's speed on chocos and the fact the chocobos are free to keep other classes from getting jealous.

                          There will be no special calls, or colors.

                          This will be a yellow chocobo. You can't go off and imagine some sort of job that blows all the others away. It needs a purpose, which would be the status effects.

                              Chocobo Murazaka on the chocobo. =/ can you say super airship deluxe.

                              Whats happens when the chocobo goes into gauge. It would attack then you'd run right past it and go back again like in jousting, but your problem is a chocobo is like a summon you can't get hate or link. At the speed of a chocobo you could hit it. Kite. Hit it. Kite. Wait arent BST the solo job? These things could take on an IT without getting hit. I'd love to see some one on a chocobo going to a HNM hitting it run like hell use a /blm spell and run like hell. This would be imbalanced. Good idea, but i'm a tough rater with these. 3/10. Three just for the idea, but the whole thought of it needs to be balanced or changed. Also i think chocobo's would be allowed to climb over mountains, but only in the zone. Like in rolanberry you can climb the giant hills or mountains, but you cannot zone into another area. A golden chocobo could hover over the land it just means they can pass water and go straight through people instead of the five seconds. While the animation would just be a chocobo sticking its its head forward and moving its wings back dashing through the air.

                              In my theory you people are thinking past your imagination you need to restrict things. :p

                                My vision of a chobi knight is 1 Ja for summoning a chobi to ride.

                                The other means when a Knigth uses his bird in battle its not on screen except as a ghostly image fused with the knight.
