i hear rumours that the summoner quest is in windurst, requirements, i dunno.
the dragoon is not available yet, neither is the samurai or ninja. They're all jobs that you need the expansion disk for.
Only summoner is released now (to my knowledge anyway) and only a few weak summons are available. The better summons -> buy expansion.
Manga Translations have been put on hold (yes I know, for a long time) Requesting raws, anything you have will be great, pm me or preferrably email me.
If I were to make random guesses I would say that Summoner is in Wind, Dragoon in Sand and Ninja/Samurai in Bastok, but they really are guesses. I don't think you're gonna get reliable info for the new jobs of places like 2ch directly. Best off waiting for the FFXI fan sites to post the details. ff11fan.net is normally quick with these things and there are some good FFXI-only boards too.
Some friends and I talked to every NPC in windurst tonight and no one gave the quest. I'm hoping someone will be able to clue us in tomorrow afternoon.

The quest sounds easy but it isn't. I was soooooooo freaaakkkinng fustrated after completing the first one and was hella mad when I reached oztroja, expiriencing the lags. Man its a living hell...

OMG, we are planning to try the jail tonight but the EXp you got are..... kinda horrible. Btw we tried Dread Demons and... TOTE monsters are hella strong. Looks like its impossible for us to get Lv62 before Girade is out *sob sob*
Very hard indeed, I think the word INSANE suits it more.....
This is what happened in the trip for those that wonder what happened.
We first started from Davoi, nothing extremelly there I guess. The orcs were spread accross monsticav so we fought them slowly and eventually made our way into the ??? place.
OZ got extremely hard.... the HP room mad links.... ??? is guarding by HP and Templar. We had around 30-36 ppl going, and we ran into another alliance while we got to OZ, but over 20 ppl died alteast. I got d/c there (nooo ><) then when I came back, and got invited, I couldn't get to the ??? and touch it coz 4 yagudos were in the way TT. Finally, we couldn't hold back the birds so everyone casted escape. When we got outside, leader asked who didn't get the ??? and I slowly raised my hand, feeling really bad about myself >< Then a very kind whm offered to help me to go on a 2 ppl PT and get the ??? quickly and so we went back. When we got there, another 40 ppl were standing on the trap door waiting to drop down (mad lag) so we followed. After we got in, we put invis on ourselves and dashed straight for the ???. Since the NM yagudos can see thru invis, i quickly touched the ??? while I tured pld invincible on, and the whm casted escape. Got out safely, and got the ??? touched!
Bedo is not much better... about another 20 ppl died coz sneak wouldn't work on the NMs. The leader tried to do it in 3 groups of 2PTs so it would be easier to control, but I guess not much difference. Dead ppl all over. I ran straight towards the ???, then I touched it, then as usual, I died, lol. Wasn't a boring death at all tho coz in the radar, I can see atleast 10 dots so more than 10 ppl was dead around me ^^
Fighting the monster is very hard especially in bedo coz it's so crowded there u would almost definitely get linked. Bebe scanned the monster (he's 60) and the normal monsters were tote and 2 NMs were in the same room.
Probable solution?
Dunno how someone is gonna use this with a large group, but when I did a second run in OZ, invincible + escape worked really well. When the yagudos were all attacking me, the mage had enough time to cast escape to get us out.
