I've just got a couple of questions about RSE.

Is there only one chest that appears in a particular location? For example is there one chest that appears in Shakhrami or several chests that appear through Shakhrami?

Once you've obtained a particular piece of RSE, is it possible to open a chest to find the same piece of RSE?

Are specific pieces of equipment associated with certain chests or locations?

I'm sure I've got more, but that's all I can think of for now.

Yes you are limited during your race's week, when and where it is.. you cant get it while other race week is going on

Perhaps you know this already, but I didn't so ...

RSE is a non-repeatable quest. You can only get each piece of your RSE once, after that the gobbo won't give it to you as an option after you return the magical pattern. Guess it can't be used as a repeated method of making cash

Why are we giving out semi-incorrect information? Sure you might need to be 40+ to get the keys solo. A well balanced party of 30+ will easily get the keys needed. I base my experiences off of Ordelles.

The mobs that drop the keys are all level 31-34, those mobs being Goblin Furriers, Shamans and Pathfinders, along with Stropers. It's all based on luck, sometimes you'll get 1 or 2 keys within a couple hours or get a key for everyone within one hour (as what happened to me on my last run). There is a total of 12 spots the chests spawn in.

3 in the waterfall room, 1 in the room just south of it. 2 by each hole you drop in near the south on the first floor. 3 in each of the rooms you drop in and finally 1 near an alternate exit/entrance on the second floor.

Levels of equipment is as follows:

Gloves are lvl 27, Boots are lvl 29, Pants are lvl 31 and the chest is lvl 33. This armor is geared towards casters/hybrid casters, but can help benefit your racial weakness'.

Well, just to counter all the posts of doom and despair.
I just soloed two pieces of RSE armor as WHM38/BLM15 and got an Orelles and a Gusgen key in my mog safe.

My advise would be:
1) Get the keys in advance, if you can get help to farm them great, otherwise just suck it up and find something to read / watch tv during downtime.
2) Set your HP in Jueno and buy a scroll of Instant Warp (unless you can warp/teleport).
3) When it's about to become your race/gender week be there on darksday, find the chest then wait for firesday (firesday is first day of the week).
4) Warp, get piece of armor, run back. Unless you're unlucky you should be able to get at least one other key before your race week is over.

I got 4 keys (2 shakharim, 1 gusgen, 1 ordelles) in about 7 hours of farming and that includes teleporting and running between the areas (chocobos were expensive :sweat: ).
If you're around 30 get a LS party going to farm some keys, these pieces of gear are worth about 10 hours of farming gil, EACH. So as long as you get a key within 10 hours then you're in the plus.

And as a final note, I got my shakharim keys from a Caterchipillar and a Goblin Shaman. Other keys were from mobs stated above. I could solo 3-5 mob between med rounds.

First off, I dont read japanese, so you can understand where I'm coming from. I looked at the Shakrami map, and now know where the treasure chests are, but am a bit confused as to who dropps the keys:

Think it's either a formatting issue with your browser or just a misinterpretation, Deelit. On the page I have for it it looks like this:
