Might be returning, with X360...

Ok, here's the deal. I played FFXI quite some time ago, and quit after a while. Mainly because I was so stubborn and tried to solo my way from the beginning. Mind you, I didn't have any problems with the game, only with my own attitude.
Now, I own Xbox 360, and thought of starting again, this time with 360.
I would very much like to play this game, but this time properly, and I mean with other people. Maybe join in a Linkshell after a while, if it's possible. Is starting over a good idea, or should I bury it?
Also, I was wondering about 360's abilities, does it use the same servers as PC version? And is the USB-keyboard such a good idea to have, is the default input system in 360 so bad?

I can't deny starting again is a bad idea seens as it uses so much of your time but do it anyway As far as I'm aware the PC still outdoes the 360, heard that the 360 isnt that good without a HD TV at 1080dpi and yes, it uses the same servers as PC/PS2.

As for the fact that it takes so much time, I have too much free time nowadays. So I'll be probably spending a lot of time with this game.

You pretty much need a keyboard to talk to others but I use the controller for everything else. Ffxi looks fine in 720dpi HD .

So I returned...

I bought the game today, and I've been playing it a bit, updated the character info on my profile. Now I'll need to figure how am I suppose to keep both my PC and 360 plugged in net at the same time...
And yes, I bought the usb keyboard, I'll have to say that it helps a lot.

Get yourself a network router. They're not terribly expensive, and will let you share your net connection between your PC and your Xbox360.

For instance:
Here's a cheap router for about $25 US with shipping

I'd recommend that you buy something a bit beefier with more features, but if you don't know much about it, the above or something similar will do just fine (and you really don't want to leave your PC or Xbox perma-connected to an undefended internet connection anyway...).
