If I'm reading right it don't work on 64 bit windows my computer has i 8gigs ram and 32 bit windows can only do 4 gig when 64 bit can do 128 does anyone know where to get xbcd x64

okay, i downloaded the pdf, but when i click the link to download the xbcd its goes to a junk search site. does anyone know if its been moved or what?

someone else posted on here the drivers for the wireless controlers previously. Well, same creators came out with a set for the wired versions also. Seems to give more options then the XBCD+, XBCD, and XBCD360 drivers currently out, and easier to install as well. Just open device manager, pick to update the drivers for the microsoft wired controler, and point it to the INF. The only drawback is that just like with all other modifed drivers.. the headset doesnt seem to get reconized. Ohh well, at least rest of all funtions work. hope this help!

-.-; Okay. So after going at this for about 3 hours now, I've run into a problem I can't find anywhere else. I followed the instructions in the pdf. Ran into a problem that I couldn't find the xbox 360 drivers in the hardware manager. Skiped that. Went through and finished it. FFXIconfig said that the buttons were being pressed. I went woot, it's working. Got past POL into FFXI... Nothing did anything. Config said it worked. So I went back to the hardwear manager. Looked a bit harder, and found it wasn't in the place that the PDF said it was for me. Updated as I should have. Now, I'm still having the same problem. FFXIconfig says all the buttons are working with the test, but get into FFXI and still nothing. None of them work at all, not even the ones that are supposed to work normally. It may be noteworthy that I'm using the windower. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ; ;

If you want to use it the way it's supposed to work, then you did. It's impossible to get the trigger buttons to work on the wireless version with the adapter, I had to go into FFXIPadConfig and set the Ctrl/Alt functions to the 2 shoulder buttons instead of the triggers, b/c FFXI is just not able to recognize the Z-axis function, which is what the triggers are set to using the wireless adapter, and I for my life can't find a way to change that.

It's a bit awkward especially when I dualbox using 2 controllers and the left trigger button is so ingrained in my head as the auto-run button, but you get used to it after a bit.

So yeah I got my wired 360 controller working with the triggers and everything following this guide, but when I bought a wireless gaming receiver for windows to play with a wireless controller it didn't work. So is there another driver I can use for the gaming receiver to make it so I can use the triggers and rumble? I hope I didn't just waste $19.99 on this thing to not be able to use it with FFXI.

Super necro b/c I lost myself...using the wireless 360 adapter, and I got everything but the triggers for macros working...anyone know how to set it up for FFXI? In the FFXI controller config I got everything about set up, minus the triggers which I can't figure out.

Wait I think I figured something out, restarting computer then may be back with more stupid questions.

Yeah...followed everything but still no use of triggers on the wireless, is this just considered unfixable? If so this was a complete waste of money.

well i hit apply on the XBCD setup Utility and it says make sure this device is installed, and i hit retry or cancel and i t keeps opoping up until it crashes. so i alt tabbed it wondering it it still worked, I got into the game and was unable to move around or do anything with the controller.

actualy forget what ijust posted. I needed to turn on the xbox accessory utility program and now its working perfectly. Thanks for the help :D

I see what you did.

I really hate to tell you how to do this STEP FOR STEP, because it's in the damn instructions, but... here we go..

Firstly, make sure you have the XB360 controller installed on your system. Make sure you're clicking the right drop-down menus. If you're POSITIVE that it's not installed, you can get that from the MS Site. Then your computer should be able to recognize that you have the controller. The easiest way to tell is if you press the Home button in the middle and something pop ups on the bottom of your monitor screen.

Then go to the xbcdplus website and install XBCD. After you install XBCD, you can do the portion where you manually update the drivers (that's what the XBCD installer was for).

The rest of the instructions, as I stated before, are self-explanatory. Your problem was when you couldn't even get the system to realize you had a controller, so you were essentially modifying nothing.

Those text files are files specifically made for XBCD, and you open them via the program.

Really, this took me a whole 8 minutes to do. If you really want to pull the trigger, you might be doing the internet a favor (j/k, suicide isn't a recommended troubleshooting technique).

Ibefore anything i went on Playonline and asked a few people to help me. they all said drivers, so I went and got drivers from the microsoft site. then i started to google ' How to " posts. stumbled upon here, saw i was not the only Momo.

I followed Muskies PDF. instead of getting th 0.4.0.0 i got the latest version 0.9.0.0 went to device manager, and didnt see the xbox options in the list. so i said ok , well maybe its invisable ( lol i know ). Then i continued on with the pdf at the part with the xbcd program. but was still not able to do anything. i check everyones posts on thee 3 pages tried their little bits of advice. and still nothing.

I have the 8mm loaded at this point lol.

I just bought this game. It had better be worth this hassel :p

Use the 360 Wired Controller. I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot for you, because I followed the step-by-step instructions and everything worked for me.

Im not sure the term for plug charge kit. If you are asking if I have a wire that charges my wireless controller while I play and can remove it to make it wireless again, Yes I have one of those, but I was trying to use my 360 wired controller. Do these make a difference? Is it easy to do the wireless with the corded charger thing?

It's a wired XB360 controller, or are you using that Plug and Charge kit for your wireless?

I used to play on vista before I went back to XP, and everything works fine on both.
