Why is Fire Elemental Weather is so rare? There were people in my LS running around for days before they got Fire for their SMN quest.

I think those caves are for potential of zone lines (the ones in Gustaberg going to Movapolis were once the same).

I suppose you could also argue since Movapolis supposedly moves around, that those would be "old" zone lines for where it used to be.


Here's one, where's the [dead] zone lines for East Aht Urhgan? How would one get there? (Obviously players can't, but like story wise or whatever)

Actually SE explained this at Fan Fest...

It's because they didn't want the top (NM) Tier armor getting screwed up in the lotting process. They wanted to make sure whoever it was going to would get it.

The better question would be why is that set still not storeable, (and AF/Relic +1 for that matter)

Why can't stackable stuff be synth'd en mass instead of one at a time with a 10 second gap between synths? It's annoying having to individually craft each bit of jerky separately every time I want to level my BLU.

If you move all the convenience to the same spot, people will never go to other zones.

The circus in port bastok is easily accessible if you have the mog-house travel quest done.

I swear it took me freaking TWO REAL LIFE DAYS camping in Altepa to get my damn fire weather. Was so ridiculous. Then of course after I got it, I see it everywhere like the Dunes and the Jungle. Stupid weather...

Fire Weather isn't really that rare. It just pays to have eyes, or at least travel.

When I got my ruby, I just snagged some WHM and had them teleport me around between the different crags until I had them all. Teleporting between yhoat and altep should do the job nicely.

instead of standing around waiting for the weather, check the weather forecast NPC ... fill your time doing something else and return to the NPC every once in a while :|

Now that I think about it, most of those people didn't have Yhoat or Altep yet since those were their first 30 jobs. One of them didn't have the Kazham keys so they couldn't go to Yhoat anyways what's worse is, I still don't think she has them. She usually plays at times when nobody else is hardly on. Don't ask how she soloed around Kazham {/Shudder}. Fire usually appears most in Valkurm when there has been a bunch of straight sunny days with no other elements. Yuhtunga is usually Water or Double Water but i guess YMMV.

That's true. It'd be nice if you didn't have to go to certain areas to find the weather NPC, why not have a weather linkshell that you can equip and check a certain area at any time.

Pretty sure Yuhtunga/Yhoat weather is wet more often than hot, but I always remember it changing on a whim; never staying the same for very long.

The idea bout not having your equipment take up space makes sense.
And the mass synth is a great idea too

Maybe they're doing that to keep RMT from overcrowding the AH with synths. The more time it takes to craft a single item stack, the less apt RMT are to use it to sell. Which is probably wrong but the only people who really know are SE....{And they Hate us} However it is a good idea.

Or maybe SE could add more abilities that are like Trituration and Lumberjack.
