I don't get people like that, why would you WANT to just ride on coattails to get everything? If something can be reasonably soloed, I go and do just that ... like 2/3 of G3, easily enough.

I'm one of those suckers. I don't have a real objective view of how I act so I can't say whether I'm obviously giving preferential treatment to females or not, but I can say I feel a lot happier about it than if I was helping a guy with a similarly likable personality.

You could say the same about me, I tend to gravitate more towards women when it comes to doing (specially duoing) stuff. But it's more about me getting along better with girls than with guys when it comes to stuff like that, rather than any romantic involvement.

However I still have a few friends (guys) from my starting days I get along with pretty well, we just don't get to do stuff often anymore.

If Mhurron moved to Fenrir I'd probably be dragging him to duo some crazy BCs though.


Edit > That being said, when it comes to helping unknown people do stuff it makes no difference to me if they are ugly guys or a top model, I'd turn them down all the same. I only help people I get along with for the most part unless I'm asked to help by one of my friends and/or I'm in a very good mood.

The majority of the males in this game are lonely, that's why they start in-game relationships.

I have a few females I'm cool with in-game, but good gravy, people are retarded. MOST of the girls that play FFXI aren't even good looking. -_-

Someone didn't sleep Avatar on the last NM in Sandy. We got Tidal Waved.

We seriously need to get some TH4 going in this LS.

Lots of drops last night...except all useless ones, 3 DRK bodies, SAM body, MNK body, and SMN body which we're maxed on already b/c we've gotten at least 5 of them.

We don't have any issues with the Hydras usually. (knocks on wood) Pull 2 and of course get 1-2 eyes. Kill eyes first. Kite 2 Hydras while killing eyes. Make sure rdms grav Hydras. Take one Hydra at a time and kill. Usually when we have issues its either mages standing too close to aoe range, people didn't bring poison pots (this is a biggie), FOR GODS SAKE IF YOU HAVE STUN USE IT, rdms would rather nuke eyes than keep an eye on kiters and grav Hydras, .....idiocy like that.


Oh and speaking of idiocy, have I got a story for you guys!!

Imagine this....Dynamis Valkrum.....we go in and pull 2 flies and kill them by the outpost. Next we move to the shore and kill an additional fly. Now we are ready and pull the Fungar NM........and wipe...no kill of course. We get up and the sacs say screw it and we go to the Morbol Boss. Of course we have 2 rdm/drks for chainspell stuns and the first rdm flubs it and we wipe.......end of Dynamis. We killed 3 mobs. L O FRICKIN L

Sounds like every Valk I've done.

Last night the other RDM who helped by me some room to get up to Nue Eye with a sac pull executed a perfect Ghetto Vert to stay alive and buy more time at one point, it was funny. Myself and the only other experienced RDM there laughed our asses when we saw what happened on his HP/MP bars, noone else really got it. Was just funny to see someone actually remember that as a viable option at a time when it would be called for, much less pull it off correctly.

Ugh we've been getting absolute crap for drops lately in Xarc & Tav... I mean even the usually crappy drops we'd get, like thf hands x7 or drg/drk/bst stuff isn't falling. For a moment I even thought the Animated Spear wasn't gonna put out so we could finish our LS Gungnir..

Would have been better if we actually needed that much Koga though. Like I said in the other thread, we got 6 Koga in total, I think the last 2 auto dropped, 1 to me and my level 37 NIN.

We got our first Armlets this week actually. And last night my g/f officially got her Xarc relic 2 years faster than I did. Hooray for a 1m gil pair of Cleric's Mitts, lol. Going to be like 2 months before we can try Xarc again.

I've actually played hookie from Dynamis this week. And based on the forum, we either did no runs or got no drops aside from the one BLM head that dropped in Xarc.

This has probably been the best week ever. I should go exp or Campaign on PLD. I'm like 2k into level.
