How is that four days? I'm not looking for a reason to 'bitch' at anyone. I don't agree with the point of their post and I don't agree with how they chose to make it.

If it is the post you object to then I sugest leaving off calling it a necro-post that just detracts from your point and ends up sounding petty. Besides with the post being made this month and updated a new thread being created when the old one was still so fresh would simply gets yells of use the search function with possibly a link to this thread in the new one anyway.

I honestly don't see how this can be reasonably called a necro-post, it's initial creation was this month

I suppose. This forum does move rather slowly in comparison to some of my other haunts. This board used to be faster then that though. Oh well.

It seems I'm playing the part of Murphie or maybe Feba today.

Enjoying pointing out the ridiculous is not the same as being mean.

edit: Though I realize that you weren't actually saying that you were being mean (and thus insinuating that I go out of my way to be mean).

I wasn't being mean, I was being overtly rational. Therein lies the comparison. They are easily intertwined though. We often seem to get the two mixed up around here. While its easy to say to board has gotten 'mean' as of late, I also think we've taken too kindly to ineptitude.

We (meaning FFXIO) do seem to often get the two mixed up. Saying that something is ridiculous, or expecting more from most posters seems to be misconstrued rather easily.
