I think for the most part, the most outrageous thing that happened was Feba making Ita argue himself in circles, and Ita essentially realized Feba was constituting slam dunks and fast breaks every reply, so he stopped trying to reply. TM came in and called traveling on Feba, but being the referee arguer that we know he is, Feba pointed out that it was other people who were charging.

I have absolutely no clue what's going on.

This type of information is the sort of hidden kind of nectar that is tempting, but was crafted from the thoraxes of the most evil bees on the planet. Honey comes from the thorax right? Whatever, wherever it came from on bees, it was the most evil spot possible.

No that was a terrible analogy, but I'm in class trying to chime my own thoughts in before this conversation implodes again.

But regardless, Taj is a bad person, the list is evil, things on it should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm not going to act like we'll forget about it, but I'm glad to see that FFXI doesn't take personal biases, being as how we are removed from the nexus of FFXI drama on the Internet.

We can all agree that we hate botting, cheating and etc, and anything to do with them is essentially, bad news.

Now obviously I'm not a cheater, just curious, and maybe the length of time used influences if SE looks into it or not, say a 'safe amount' of red flags on the server, but it's also possible I didn't get flagged at all. I'm not really sure which is more disturbing- that discreet hacking might be alright, or that they might miss people all the time.

That's entirely possible/plausible, but still the vast majority of that program is nothing but a bot.

I looked up what that program does... omg is cheesy as hell....

Yes, I have a firewall, virus protection, and spyware detection software but if someone's really good they can get around all that.
I just wish there was something we could do as a community to encourage this kind of hacking to stop.

Next time you're on, look around for Norvyn and say hi if you see him. He's the lone active account that got stranded on Hades after the ls hacking.

Technically, there is no way SE would ever have to bring this into court as SE can ban people *without* reason at will. They don't have to prove anything to anyone, ever. So really we would never know if SE used this or not, even if every name on that list does get banned.

Very true.. it is their service after all and the TOS states they can terminate the service contract at any time for any reason.. at least I imagine it does I've never really taken the time to read most of it.

BTW for those who are asking me to give out the list in PMs - If you want the link, don't ask me please. The link was scrubbed from the OP by the moderators for a reason, and I'm going to respect their judgment and extend that to any PMs I receive. I'll just say this - this topic is all over the various FFXI-related forums and I'm sure you guys are resourceful enough to find it.

The problem would arise when and if SE brought such activity to court - they would most likely need to show that their evidence that players who used this program to "steal services" from SE was not rooted in this list of players. Otherwise the court could throw out a case based on tainted evidence.
