Okay, just one more for good measure:

    And no more, I promise.

What the hell is wrong with you people?

Why is this 8 pages in less than 12 hours? Why is there so much bitching? Talk about "Elitist flamers"... "I won't use the site because it's run by -blank- and they are idiots". Pot, kettle much? Bringing up the ffxiwiki scam doesn't help either.

A BG-Wiki was a long way coming. There has been many incidents with the wiki where they would put wrong information and refuse to change it even when proof is provided because a moderator has a gut feeling. What this did really is put the control in the hands of the people who found out all the hard formulas and actually understand a great amount of the game. It isn't one guy on Phoenix who may or may not be a great player, it's an entire community. And you don't have to be apart of that community to contribute to and enjoy the result.

Anyway, regarding grammar, there is a proofreading tag which means someone will come in and fix my mistakes for me.

Guides are opinion. When you click on a guide, you are exposing yourself to someone's opinion.

Additionally, expect to see that timeline double in size today. And that's just 1/3 of it's information. (And the stuff on that page isn't on History of Vana'diel. I usually search everywhere for information, and this is new stuff to english audiences, trust me on it).

    It doesn't.
Which was what the "if it paid well" was for.

I've looked into this stuff before. If I wanted to RMT, I have a good idea of what game I'd play and how I'd do it.

For now, we have to live the dream for free.

And claim the next FF MMO wiki when it happens.

My dream job: Being paid to peruse FFXI forums fixing grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. This way I don't have to look at mangled wrecks of forums posts, and the posters look slightly less stupid in their flame wars.

It doesn't. There was an RMT company in town but I think they only paid $7 an hour if I remember from their ad. They only dealt in Ragnarok Online I think.

Dude, I'd use Windows if I could get a decently paying job playing FFXI.

    I'd use Windows.

Hell, I'd probably RMT if it paid well and I could farm for shit.

Don't say that you'll never sell out yourself.
It's just that the right offer hasn't been made yet.
Selling gil aside, the amount of time it would take me to sell out if I was offered pay equal or greater to that of my current job just for doing something pertaining to FFXI would be approximately .0736 seconds.

the funny thing is, it's under a CC-by-NC-sa license, which means that they probably can't legally be purchased, as that would make it commercial.

It'll require someone to offer them a considerable amount of money. Which seems unlikely, since Wikia already spent a considerable amount of money on FFXIC.

I don't think anyone is claiming that they don't have a price.

Why would a Wookiee -- an eight foot tall Wookiee -- want to live on Endor with a bunch of two foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense!

But more importantly, you have to ask yourself: what does that have to do with this case? (calmly) Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense!

Look at me, I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca. Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense. None of this makes sense.

And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberating and conjugating the Emancipation Proclamation... does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense.

If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.
