You can do whatever you want. Problem is, tons of people will probably do it. The end result? Our little community will be split between 2 wikis. Can't stop the inevitable. It's just stupid to get up in arms over something like this. To say that Bill Clinton was a bad president 'cuz he got head is silly. The 2 details are unrelated. There's probably a fallacy for this that I don't know the name of.
This thread moves too fast for me and I'm not entirely interested. So good luck with this topic.
    Small notes Lmnop:

    The number of wiki's: 3 not 2.

It is not stupid to get up in arms over this issue. People now "know" what he did, and if they chose to not deal with him because it makes them feel better, that issue can not be written off as stupid.

Bill Clinton was not ethical as a president, this is the same as Ganiman he was not ethical as admin. There are plenty of people in our country who do not talk about clinton or really care for him due to his actions, the same as people do not want to use wiki due to ganiman's actions.

I have seen a documentary on the Amish teens as well (possibly the same one). It was very eye opening to see the community actually allows their children to have a choice and be able to see what the "normal" lifestyle has to offer, then make an adult decision. Alot of the belief was a born Amish, and you would have no choice in the matter per say.

The Amish are in league with Al Sharpton to take away your free speech Mhurron!

Why? Because someone doesn't hold the same weight to something that you do? What you think of something is irrelevant to someone else's actions.

You think there are bigger travesties in the world then just this, well there are, but that doesn't mean I give a damn about them.

I also happen to believe the Amish are retarded.

    WE GET IT NOW STFU

God damn seriously if people want to boycott ffxi wiki let them, it doesn't effect you. Your not a wiki admin BBQ, you have said it plenty you have also said:

The problem here is that people like you and (more annoyingly) SevIfrit seem to think we still haven't. We've all read it and we've all formed our own opinions.
Some of us clearly side with BG.
    Some see FFXIC's side.
Some of us clearly don't care.
Some of us want more evidence.
Some of us think what FFXIC did was bad, but will use the site anyway because its is a good community resource.

If you're so up in arms about this, fine, but stop acting like no one here as read it. The entire FFXI community has beaten the issue to death, there have been loldebates in Whitegate about it and the person with the biggest "lawls" to gain over it are the people who don't browse forums at all.

This is my point every time I deal with you BBQ. You love your double standards, it is ok for you to say your opinion, but if anyone disagrees you bitch and cry about it. You are the reason, I don't ever or will never use LBR. That is completely petty and I admit it.

The site didn't change but I'm not sure why that matters.
Ya well divisor theory did buy gil the connection stopped at him being a mod. Taj found this while looking for answers in DT's gmail.

They were sold and bought again from that parent company to a new one, it is somewhere buried on this and other sites.

Alot of the shit that was being said when alla was bought out was that the site would change and become very highly infested with RMT. It was saying just because x/y/z company owns a community it does not change them.

The difference is that no one is really upset he sold the site to wikia it is the way he went about it and the shady info. If wiki's moderation staff was replaced, I would personally have no real issues with the site.
