Really I just through it was because I refused to pay for a gold membership I dont need so my connection drops after a certain period of inactivity Ill check it out if my stuff doesnt sell tonight Im gonna leave my chr running against a wall with an elastic band round the controller all night ^^

Oh no no no, I kill damn fast (even on PLD) what I hate is idiots coming out to zerg kill every mob thats in their line of sight (or widescan). And no, I tend to bounce around to every zone that I think has, or will have, a campaign battle, but what I have noticed is people tend to like following the jobs than can tank (SAM/DNC's, PLDs, WHM/NINs, WARs etc) by doing a sea all "insert name here" because if a tank can hold the mob off long enough, the DD can then just go all out and by the time it pulls hate, the mob is closer to death than the DD. I give fair warning to DDs who like to pull hate, ill tell them if they pull hate i will disengage, and pull a different mob, oh how funny it is to watch the idiot still pull hate and die . So no, I will not stop kiting mobs out to the middle of nowhere, I want my fuckin EXP and I will earn it as I see fit. If you dont like how long it takes me, come find me see if you dont die on the way

PLD being top tank on most mobs that matter aside, since Campaign mobs are obviously rated in difficulty in such a way that most jobs can tank them if they set up a specific way, it's still amazes me that some PLDs seem to be spectacularly bad at it. A lot of them seem to think if all they do is use Flash and Animated Flourish, they will tank just fine. For the bad ones, holding hate seems to be a losing battle.

Very recently, I was in one where I agreed to let the PLD tank every other mob so he can get his share of EXP, and I could let pet Stay rest for HP whenever he tanked. I threw that idea out the window when I found the only way I could let him tank is if I sat on TP a whole a lot. What goes through a PLD's mind when other people come by and they see a PLD and somebody else fighting something. And the person who is tanking is Carrie, the UPS Crestacean? (He blamed it on not having Atonement. Do you buy that?)

Defeated Fenrir Prime yesterday with the help of my ls-mates and a couple volunteers. We had him down to 50%, 1 SMN d'c'd, then he 2hr'd and killed a few ppl, then eventually the rest. (It was Darksday, not smart by us)

We RR'd and rested, the 5th SMN came back, Leviathan x 5 got him down to 10% eventually, I water iv + waterga iii to finish him off. Tough fight but fun!

Well, I didn't know you could play FFXI on the xbox without a Xbox Live membership

I did have a gold membership but it expired and seen as the only game I have time to play is FF11 I just through Id try it and it worked. Think long as you have some connection to xbox live you can play it fine.

Today's:

Stupid Campaign NPCs mpk'ing me because they are jealous I survived what they didn't.

Weak bastard Febrenard C. Something somehow decided to go hit the Imp I pulled even though he was supposed to be fighting (read: getting owned by) a bunch of orcs in Eldieme [s] right when he was about to die, so I didn't have time to move without getting aggro.

I did kill a couple of the orcs before going down though. But there were at least 7 orcs in that alliance so I got killed fairly fast. Just not as fast as that whmmelee-wannabe loser though.

Sad part is Reraise had wore off a couple of minutes before that and I didn't plan to get another Reraise until I was done with the imp so I had to HP as I was the only one in the area.

Did you know that if you try to craft a Rare item, and you already have one in your inventory, it won't let you do it? But I'll bet you didn't know that when you do that, you lose your crystal.

Yeah, that just happened to me. With an Aurora Crystal. #@%#!#!!

Right now my major source of headaches is crappy pick up parties.

"Hey, let's all level sync to 5 levels below what's appropriate for this area"

"Oh hey, we just got everyone here after an hour of gathering the party, let's have a half hour of excruciatingly painful and unfulfilling battles and then disband".

Lvling DNC for my sam only to die in Qufim to a random weapon who aggroed me while I was running to the zone to jeuno.

Honestly, it really pisses me off that monsters CAN hit you while you ar emiles away from them AND running.

Another Eldieme related one:

Union coffers dissapearing so fast. They should stay as long as there's people with the right to open them in the zone and dissapear until the time to claim spoils runs out.

It's stupid having to run around all the way back to the area where the coffers are only to have them gone even though there's still claim time left.

I got told this is due to server lag, Its like when your running against a monster and it still says Monster out of range. The monster can hit you because Its actually a lot closer than it looks on the screen to you, when I had that you cant hit it because its already walked out of range.

I think the point to this peeve is the way it only goes one way ... if a mob starts running, you can't hit it if you can't outrun it (and especially if you just follow it), while the mob can hit you if you start running and can't outrun it (unless pathing throws it off). Even mobs walking SLOWER than you are unhittable from behind unless you disengage target lock and run right up on them...

Again, it's not one-sided, it's lag. I mean, sure, it's a peeve, but it's not unfair. They have the same range limits we do.

It's not even that hard to work around.

Mobs do cheat tho, I had some time to kill while waiting for my cop team to assemble in oldon movapolis so I was playing with a few quadav. Had them running around a big rock so they couldnt get to me, the mob then tires of the game and runs right through the rock to take a swing. Its not lag when you can see a mob run through a wall at you.

Its the same with ranged attacks, Running behind an obstacle should prevent a goblin for eg from shooting you but no they ranged attack right through walls rocks hills anything, but when its a giant 4 times the size of the very small tree its standing behind we get the cannot see monster.

And lol this isnt even my peeve >< I dont even use ranged attack
