I know there's a lot of people in their 20's who play the game, and act even worse than some young teenagers. >.<; I don't really know why they think it's all okay...

yeah I hate it too, as a Mithra I have not had to many, maybe a pull of the tail or a grab of the butt on rare events....but I just RP it off, but when it comes to jerks that dont help , I get really mad -.- now there is this guy in my LS and he is cool, found out he was 13 too lol, and he acts more adult then some others I know who do things like what you all describe -.- sad really........

Sometimes I wish we could just intern the vast majority of teenagers from age 15 to, say, 23. In my dream world, they would be taught proper manners by force. There would, of course, need to be some method to exempt those youngsters who are polite and intelligent, but their boorish fellows really need to rot behind some good old fashioned barbed wire.

Repeal hazing laws. Send to military school.

Vulgarity in-game really irks me these days. I ditched an LS several months ago because the vulgar conversations that would pop up from time to time were just getting too much. Those same players also tend to have really vulgar animated avatars on LS specific message boards. It makes me seriously wonder what kind of people I'm playing this game with.

Vulgarity in-game really irks me these days. I ditched an LS several months ago because the vulgar conversations that would pop up from time to time were just getting too much. Those same players also tend to have really vulgar animated avatars on LS specific message boards. It makes me seriously wonder what kind of people I'm playing this game with.

I know how you feel. They range from tacky and inappropriate to just plain disgusting. I've left linkshells and parties over it in the past.

When it's not about sex, it's about the toilet. I find myself shocked every time some member of a random party "excuses himself" by describing in detail what he intends to do in the bathroom. It's perfectly fine to just say "Excuse me, I would like to take a break for a few minutes." No one needs to know what you plan to do, and for God's sake, no one needs to know precisely what you did when you get back. I would be mortified to speak like that in front of strangers (not that I would speak like that to anyone at all, to be honest).

If you are older than 12, and still amused by the various noises and emissions that a human body makes, I honestly feel there is probably something quite wrong with you.

O yes a BTW if u think thats like bad i dont know if uv ever played afree MMORPG
Ex:Runescape::Knightonline ECT but thats like the only thing those ppl say .... kinda sad truely

I am amused by that stuff, but come on, somewhere in everyone, everyone's a bit amused. But that's as far as it goes. I try to be as polite as possible. I'm only 17 and I like to try to make a good impression so people don't judge me as an imature idiot. though, from time to time, I joke about stuff like that with friends who know me. But yeah, I try to type properly and use proper grammar, so I don't seem like an uncultured, iliterate idiot.

hey ez there lol im 15 im not a craphead like those others but with my friends ill kid around like that, but i hardly swear in the game, but it its really annoying when ur about to die and u call for help and theres someone right next to u full health and just watch u die, or if theres a whm right next to u and u ask for a cure and they laugh, that just hurts expecially when u delevel cause of them.

ALright, I'll add to the list. My wife just started playing and I was PLing her in Gustaburg. This one dude walks by and sends her a /tell saying "I wanna see u in the shower". First off, what a stupid comment! Secondly, I walked right up to the dude, did a /fume emote and told him to "Watch it". He then proceeded to throw up a bunch of ???, not realizing that I had read what he said. After that, he took off.

Another thing that wasn't bad but actually kind of funny was when my wife got hit on another time. At the AH someone asked her for a broom. She thought he meant an item and said no. He then said, "Too bad, because I was going to sweep you off your feet." My wife showed me this and we both had a good laugh. I then proceeded to walk my avatar behind his and poke him. He asked what I wanted and I told him, "Do you still need that broom." He then apologized after I told him that was my wife. I didn't care, it wasn't mean just funny.

Long story short, I like being my wife's Knight in shining armor, even if it is in-game.

lol nice, i just play the guy characters... mostly cause i am a guy but still, and if i played a girl one i would just be like umm yeah well u kno ur hitting on a guy right and they would probally just leave

You'd be an excellent candidate for my exemption program, then! We might have to remediate as far as the typing skills go, but no one's perfect.

I agree, people who behave like in the examples you give are just horrible! Rude, thoughtless people are a blight on this world, in-game and out. It's never wrong to be polite or generous, whether it's casting cure on a struggling lowbie or helping a struggling mom with kids in-tow carry a package up the walk. Thankfully, it seems that most players are still willing to help each other out, I'd say even moreso than out in the real world. If such bestial behavior were the rule, rather than the exception, we wouldn't be nearly so shocked or annoyed by it. ;D

I think the weirdest pickup I've ever gotten (if it was a pickup-- it's hard to really tell) was "So, do you ever have discussions? Discussions... of a sexual nature?"

Is "discussions" one of those new-fangled hippity-hop phrases that These Kids Today love so darned much? XD

The other day I was fishing in Windy w/ my mithra.. and some taru comes along, stops and looks at me for a min then emotes "grabs mithra butt and loves every second of it". Too bad I couldn't target him and slap him before he ran off.. but I did send him a tell ">_>;"
