    Re: Too much drama...

gotta make yourself clear from drama
my LS been around since FFXI japanese release. We have a few drama here but we're still very peaceful.
Some other LS I was in got tons of drama but as long as i don't take part in it, it's not too bad.

but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

        Re: Too much drama...

I can say that because I was raised to be affectionate and loving towards everyone and get along with guys more than other women, I get flamed all the time after some guy I turn down or dumps me in game or falls for me though we are friends etc. I have a lot of people on Ifrit that judge me based on what the rumors and snooties say, thinking they know me. Actually when it comes down to it all, no one unless they know each other in real life can say they KNOW someone through a game. The fact is its basically like junior high you wdo something they think is bad or wrong, they come after you and harrass you. The fact is there are always gonna be people like that, you just come to ignore them, pity them or just blist them. So don't let them get to you they do it cause they want to hurt you and bring you down to make them look better. Most likely unless someone beats a dead horse so to speak, they will just forget you eventually, until then ignore them they aren't worth the stress.

          Re: Too much drama...

I just started playing last night (and that was only for an hour because I was really tired), then for 3 hours this morning (school meeting, so I don't have to be there until 12:30^^).

The worst thing that has happened to me is... I was running from a monster that auto attacked when you go near it (it looked so cool, half eagle half human <_<), and tons of people walked by me and didn't even realize (aka ignored =P), then I died, and no one even cared. Then I went AFK to make tea, and came back with a thing asking if I wanted to be revived...

Anyways, I just hope nothing like that happens to me >.< I think I'm a friendly person, and if anyone is rude I can just ignore them^^

          Edit:
My LS doesn't have drama, I've only been in it for a day but everyone is nice in it (it's actually an LS to help newbies like me <_<).

I actually saw a sad video on www.youtube.com about this guy leaving his LS and stuff, I'll find it and post it here.

I have said it many times and here it goes again. FFXI is built in a way, where for certain reasons promotes HUGE drama. I think this is something that will keep going for as long as this game lasts. Even so. all MMORPGS will have drama, cuase they are people involved!

Any WHM who wants a WAR over a BRD when your PT already has a MNK/WAR and a WAR/whatever is the definition of the word n00b.

Now, my WHM is only 42 and my BRD is only 43. But IMO, any PT over 22 that has mages should want the Ballad a BRD brings to the table. BRD also brings better ACC + ATK and also lessons downtime with Refresh during pulls. A mage heavy PT not only gets Ballad, but also gets more powerful nuking as well as better healing ability.

Regardless of Corsair, Bards still have the power to make bad parties into OK parties, make OK parties into good parties, make good parties into great parties, and make great parties into Gods.

Although I've never had an experience quite like that, if I see unnecessary or just plain retarded trouble brewing in a party and it's taking a long time for everyone to resolve it (meaning that there's more arguing going on than looking for a replacement or exping), I always say "Sorry, gotta go guys." just so I won't have to get mixed up in it and have to sit there with them arguing too. I'm good at being the mediator now and then but I choose my battles.

I'm sorry that happened to you, though. That whm sounds like she has personal and real life issues that she took out on you, her actions were a bit extreme. I hope you have a better party next time. ^_^

                  Re: Too much drama...

I've had very little drama on Hades. For the most part I've found people to be friendly and helpful. I even get random /tells most days just now from people asking for help or from other BSTs at around my level getting stressed and needing to vent .
I have heard that those who celebrate life
walk safely amongst the wild animals.
When they go into battle, they remain unharmed,
the animals find no place to attack them
and weapons are unable to harm them.
Why? Because they find no place for death in them.

I sometimes think that drama is part of what we actually and subconciously love aboutt this game!!

This means that someone stopped to cast a Raise spell on you.

Not everyone is capable of helping you, it depends on their job; therefore sometimes they aren't even going to stop. They've probably ran by so many corpses already that it means nothing to them anymore XD

Plus at low levels you're better off just home pointing anyway. When you're far from your home point you might want a Raise, but remember that you incur a 5 minute weakness penalty upon being Raised (basically, 5 minutes where you're especially vulnerable and probably won't want to be fighting anything)
