Yes that is the case in most MMORPG, in iRO it has evolved to a level where people will make botting cute novice sprites and beg for equipent. The worst part is they get it most of the time. I guess FFXI has somthing similar but hopefully it wont evolve into a larger scale.

..Does it matter? Just treat anyone with respect and dignity. You can never be 100% sure if someone is actually a girl or a guy. You should just let everyone be/act as they are/do, and have fun. As for friends.. if you want to believe them is your own choice. But it still doesnt matter, if you want close friends, go find irl. And dont tell me you have to know if a mithra is a guy or not so you can hit on her.. thats just stupid and pathetic. I dont think the female mithra players like to get hit on by random people on a game.. if they do, theyll let you know when theyre interested in you anyways.. with a whole bunch of cute or naughty /emotes :/

i also know a girl who plays a girl character. one day, someone accused her of being a guy for some reason, and she's never been able to shake it. to this day, some people still think she's a he, and she can't seem to convince everyone that she's really a she.

He tells his ingame friends that he is a RL chick......but I am not going to say a thing because it is not my place to.

Why Gay talk? :S Cant everyone just play the game? Maybe sometimes joking around is fun.. but this isnt even near the games main gameplay. Its about quests, missions, leveling, storyline.. Sigh, it just gets too annoying.. Just play the game :/ A little character imaging is normal.. but the long roleplaying is just bullshit. To be honest, you can never really completely trust anyone, and if someone complains to you that you dont trust him/her.. I mean, why would you care anyway if someone doesnt believe your gender for 100%, as long as they dont harrass you.. Just play the freaking game>< And the only reason why im posting on this thread is because im really annoyed by mithra where its just obvious that theyre guys, acting so total faggish in partys, like "Awwww you stood on my tail ; ; I want you to kiss it better =^.^=" wtf ><, or people always making fun of me calling me a gay irl or stuff.. what the hell, what Mithras have you met?.........all the Mithras in my LS (Mithra Pride) and myself. would never act like this....to other people anyway ^.^ (the LS chat itself gets silly sometimes) I myself act like a Mithra should mostly, I act tomboyish, but still can let out a cry and people dont seem to be bothered when I act alittle silly

No... even i act "silly" sometimes.. But you dont have to spam it around the whole time I think. If you roleplay, thats fine, and usually people dont care or arent bothered by it.. But if you completely spam around about ... (you know).. Then it gets so freaking annoying.. And to be honest, even if they are really female, too much is too much.. Real life still does exist you know..
