    Couldn't help but laugh at that. Everyone pokes the old dinosaur but 10 expansions on and it's still as strong as ever.

    Have to admit, I'm torn. I like the idea of no level capped zones such as CoP brought us but it's a shame to see them focus on low-end and solo play. It appears this expansion was produced solely with the intention of providing the new 360 customers an online experience similar to offline play ie solo and low level so they can ramp up to the existing playerbase's levels. The new job/s is probably the carrot for existing players.

      Most of us havn't completed Promy OR Zilart yet, something we all aren't needed to zerg rush through is a welcomed addition.

        I suppose that's true, you don't need a storyline in an expansion.
        Considering the title, it probably alludes to what we acquire in the new expansion, such as items, abilities, jobs, beautiful or profitable areas, and the experience that come from discovering such things, not an object that a storyline might revolve around.

        However, those of us that have completed the COP missions can't deny how amazing it was, even with its debatably arbitrary difficulty (fun, frustrating, or forgettable, you did tend to focus more on the footwork of the mission more than the story, and that usually distracted from it to an extent.)
        I would like to see more involved content like that, though not necessarily in the exact same structure.

          Solo zones would help the game a lot, people mainly quit FFXI because of it's difficulty I don't think a few Solo zones would make the game a "Noobfest" like WoW, it would actually help the game get a bigger playerbase and better reviews and yea it would make the game more user friendly which is what FFXI lacks.

            True FFXI does need more players. What SE needs to do is set default european severs. Not because of the language(just bunch of the english, german, and french for all it matters), but the time. Grizzle-something, european master of complainning, main issue of not being to do a lot of higher level stuff and ect because everyone logs in/out when he logs in/out. My soldier friend had the same problem while he was stationed at Rome.

            Anyway back to the subject, I hope SE doens't abandon its FF ways. What I see is "not many missions", what I hope is "long and complex quest lines/trees".

              I'm really wondering what new job classes they can add in. It better not be anymore god damned melee classes...unless it's a melee healer that has to touch it's party members to heal O.o

                lol Healing Sword. The more str and atk you have the more you heal whoever you attack. :p So basically you go all out against party members. Shockwave for melee Curaga. Ground Strike ftw. You can't attack normal mobs because you heal them XD. You do more damage against bones than mnks do tho :p

                Wonder what you would name that class? >_>

                  I'm touched you noticed. It does tend to get a tad frustrating the umpteenth time some random person forming a party tells me, "Wow, your timezone sucks11" when I explain xp party invites at 1am aren't going to work.

                    lol, as a player of both I don't think that SE loves anyone better than the other(as far as whm and smn go), and if I thought one over the other I would think SMN had it better. SMN has a more direct link into the actual storyline of RoZ and CoP I'd say, and besides it's not the armor, it's what's in it that counts.^,~ (though I actually think that SMN armor is decent looking if not better)

                    Now on to the matters of this thread...

                    This is not a whole lot of info to go off really, or rather as usual I should say, but I think that them supporting the lower lvl players is nice. Although making it equal with the other things in those lines may not be needed. If they didn't support the lower lvl players they may very well be killing off the future high lvl players, and that is just not realistic. If they infact made other servers for the european players they might be making it easier for them in essence, but in reality they would be depriving them of any of the good things we ourselves share with players from different countries. However small, I think a sense of unity amongst any of us in the game should be held on to, because that is what the game, or even the genre of the game is about.
                    As for the solo additions, I hope that they don't take it into too much depth, but any addition to what we have would be good. I myself am a party/linkshell party(for in my eyes I see those two things as totally different) loving player, but on those days where it's you playing and your ls isn't all there, or you just don't feel like lvln' like you always do, that some solo action would be well appreciated. Can't wait for some more solidinfo to come out...

                      What i'd like to see is possibility of 3 member parties, or any size really, i wouldnt like playing alone.. but a nice duo exping 5k an hour would make me glee in joy~

                        If they make like WoW where any class can solo all the way to 60 will be very nice. No more 8h waiting for pt as whm

                          That's the last thing I want. I truly believe that's the last thing that anyone who really loves FFXI wants. FFXI has it's own style and is based on people relying fully on each other to achieve things. Soloing to a limited extent might be alright, the the spirit of ffxi is working and leveling together. I don't want to solo to 60. That's not FFXI. That's WoW with FFXI graphics thrown on top of it... So...you might as well just go play WoW. Maybe do an FFXI mod on it or something. I dunno. But if they ever make a drastic change like that to FFXI then the whole basis around which FFXI was built will be totally ignored.

                            I doubt they'll take it that far.

                            Sundi simply said that they were going to add low level and solo content. He said nothing of revamping the entire system to allow anyone to solo to lv75...that would be way too much work and make a helluva lotta people upset after the massive amount of job revamping that'd be required.

                            My guess is that they'll add special quests and whatnot that are soloable and have pretty decent EXP rewards. In the end, FFXI is about group play and I highly doubt they'll change that most important aspect about the game.
