    Well. . . if mount was at least lvl 5. . . I like it though ^_^
    There needs to me more JA's. . . like Dash or Flying jump or what not.

      meh.. Make their 2 Hour like DRG's. tone down their weapon.. as in give them a A- or B+ weapon and your good to go...

        No having A+ in many weapons can be it's strength in job.

        The offset of this would be to not have any att up traits.

        Also instead of lowering hate, it should increase hate when chocobo.

        Such that it's a smiting machine, but was not made to take a lot of damage with that hate.
        Much like a combination between a war a samurai.

        Of course this is making it like a drg, so becareful not to fall into the trap of repeating skills.

        This would put it in the speciality of "puller" where your speed is useful.

        On JAs instead of having it raise att and and def like wars, make it more like monks.

        And charge would be increased damage, chance of stun. single hit?. (abuseable with SATA? you decide) Or to prevent abuse of sata, 2hits damage.

        Stand ground would be like counterstance, without the penality of damage maybe 30secs to a minute.

        By making it between a mix of DD and tank, it will give some interesting choices.

          Well, I think what I was really trying for was to make it different than DRGs, you know? Because being a Chocobo Knight is all about the use of a Chocobo, I just assumed it would be more part of the job. Making mount the two hour still seems too drastic for me and a Knight without his Chocobo (the point of the job) for a long time seems to negate the reason of being the knight. I guess if the speed bonus were numbed even more people would quit complaining, and then it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

          Also, I did write in that while mounted, they were fully susceptible to aggro. So that clears that up, too.

            When in a PT situation does evasion benefit? you get wrecked on fast moving mobs whether you have eva or not cause they are. THF isnt the only job to use Dagger... RDM and BRD use it as well. Shinjuk something something used to wear some acc and atk gear and use Evisceration (BRD) and Liabo has used it before as well.

            You're only mad to give something a higher skill lvl than you cause your a gimpy DRK... You should be happy you get a weapon with an A+ rating...

              Hey, some constructive positive criticism for once. I really like these ideas! They help make it make a bit more sense.

                At lvl 35 ish is when they should get dig, then you dont have all those not quite as high jobs trying to sub it just for dig.

                Chocobo shouldnt be the 2hr but would be much more understandable at lvl 10 for about 30min to an hour, with just as long as a refresh timer.

                Quest would actually hafta be something like drgs where you find a choco egg or something like that & actually Raise the chocobo up from a kid & say it takes like 5 RL days. . . That would prevent most of those "Oooo, uber job, I should get it to be uber" sort of people from getting the job for a while.

                Thats my info I can come up with atm ^_^

                  Make it pokemon-ish -- No seriously! I for one would ahve liked the Drg's wyvrns to have evolved to something other than a cute purple thingy :S A Lv. 75 Drg with a real miniature bune wouldda been something.

                  Maybe let the chocobo be able to have it's own lvls ... Or jobs - I dunno - just something to make it a bit more tactical ... Make beak-attacks depending on what line you took ur bird down from. Attacker style with powerful dd beak-attacks ... Or some kindda beak-attacks that lower resistance to stuff ... I dunno - There are tons of things that could make this job viable in FFXI ... and as stated by the dev. team (or someone else from SE-X?!) the future jobs that will be implented WILL be totally different from those that are now...

                      I really lik eyour Chobi Knight .

                      My one suggestion

                      Have your chobi grow from baby to full grown Chobi by 70

                      So every 10 levels your chobi gets bigger by 10% and also gain a stat and hp Bonus also.

                      When the Chobi Knight gains his artifact armor the chobi gets the same "Bird" version of same armor.

                      Also have the chobi knight have just A in pole arms. Also have him get a bonus when using One hand weapons.

                      I've researched Horse fighting and many Horseman used either a lancing Polearm and 1 hand weapon and shield.

                      From horse back they had very HIGH parrying skill. They gained strength bonus from gravity and downward attacks. They were great with peircing and slashing and bashing weapons.

                      Many horseman were also trained archers with the English shortbow.

                        They may use dagger yes...but no doubt thf are better...i dont mean hit for hit i mean when you SATA wich if they where to sub thf...their SA would add not much damage, and TA has no damage effect while subbed...So if you SA for 300+ they would SA for...30...Thf have the advantage here...

                        EHEHEHEEEH gimpy? Yes, but the weapon we get an A+ loses its meaning at the end of the game...Now its DPS is the balls but we end up using ground strike more then spiral...And you have no idea I would love for utsusemi and evasion today...4 deaths...Maybe using SELRSA Cross Reaper at the start of a fight isnt the BEST move but hey...I try...

                          I believe the DRKs, WARs, MNKs, SAMs, and DRGs who have ever waited more than 8 hours for a party can agree that there there are already far too many flavors of melee damage dealer.

                            That's our fault, not SEs,

                            4 melees with shadows that know how to pass hate will do just as well as having no tank.

                            We, especially NAs fall into traps of specializing to the extent we're fragile cannons unable to adapt to changing situations.

                            At least JPs are more creative in working with what they have.

                              Not quite Kuu, but please continue thinking that JP are the only ones with ideas...

                              OK and all those jobs (well maybe not drg but I know for saying this 34029890231 are gonna say "ZOMGZ I HAVEE DLOL!") Pull hate quite easy during partys...And sometimes those jobs continue tanking till he/she dies or the mob dies...now what happens at the end of this fight? Thats right everyone who can cure is now out of MP...3 shadows is not enough to tank with, and 4 melee in a party is just plain bad...

                              You would be looking at a good...1-2k and hour...for a few people in the party...most will prolly be looking at negative EXP...

                                And that is why a fragile cannon will remain a fragile cannon.

                                The perfect set up will net you 1k an hour if you have bad team work and tactics.

                                A good leaders, as good team members will use what he has, what he can do, and how long he can do it.

                                I have done DRK,DRK,THF,RDM,RDM,WHM and got a decent 4k an hour on raptors. And for your information it was JP group, and not all super power skillful nor rich but just adaptive.

                                I'm not saying everyone should go doing weird combinations, but most NAs are too so set on the path of "one trick pony", that they litterally blasphemy anything else, which leads to situations like asking for more tanks.

                                Use the head, and work things out logically. How to properly pass hate, how to properly tank, and what monster to fight shouldn't be left at home.

                                A new class does not need to specialize to be a a tank and only tank. There is strength in all areas that can be appreciated including "all rounder" types. Half DD, half tank is not a bad class.

                                And if you're feeling squirmish, then don't have infinite substitutes. Party for 2hrs and disband like JPs. It lets you have more chances of finding your "classical" pt style.
