What job is kirin osode best for

From what i have gathered from my friends on our server it seems thats kirin's osode would be the best and most effective armor for-

Mnk>Brd>War>Rng>whatever else

the reason its best for mnk is that mnk takes advantage of all the stats. Mnd for chi blast, Vit for taking hits and chakra, str for more atk, agi for dodging since mnks have weak D, etc etc etc

The reason its good for bard is because none of the other jobs other than mnk really need it, and have better pieces of body armor, brd fully utilizes the +30mp since brds sub mage, and it has +10chr which is just as much as the other best armor for bard

For warrior i think scorpion harness is better when tanking since evasion is better than agi and +10 acc is better than +10 dex. and for attacking warriors hauberk is better

For ranger- the AF body has +10 rng acc which is better than +10 agi.

Do most LS's agree with this reasoning? am i missing anything?

Around the time a ranger is fighting kirin they have been wearing the hunter's jerkin for a long time. Other classes get to wear numerous viable pieces of armor during that time. The ranger does not. So in that aspect I feel that the Ranger (who can do the most damage against kirin also) is most deserving.

Stats wise you are correct 10 ranged accuracy is better than 10 agility. However 10 strength (for more damage), 10 dexterity (for more criticals), 10 charisma (for weapon skills) and the 10 agility is better than 10 ranged accuracy. Especially considering that a ranger can have around or more than 100 ranged accuracy.(And that's without the innate accuracy bonuses.) So I would disagree strongly (but respectfully) with your preferences.

thanks 2.0 for your input and justification. My LS has no full time rangers really and therefore none that are deserving of that osode, but i can see why ranger would be a good job to give it to

Scorpion Harness is very bad for WAR. Although I'd personally rather have Kaiser/Koeing, this piece is still awesome for WAR/NINs. +10 VIT > +10 EVA, +10 STR > +10 ACC. +10 DEX = More hits landed and criticals to help with hate, +10 AGI = Help with parry's (though that wouldn't exactly happen often either), +10 CHR = Help with WSs and a more powerful provoke for hate keeping.

This is probably THE best body piece for WARs. Kaiser/Koeing has a hell of alot more DEF and VIT, but also a hell of a lot STR and DEX.

I think most people want this armor to show off more than anything. The nice thing about it is it's not ex so it can be shared among LS members. Every job can argue why it's better for them than anything else.

I don't see much point in giving it to bards. They can already get +10 CHR from Errant, so the only thing they gain from it is +30 MP. woohoo.

I think just about any other job that can wear this would benefit more from it than a bard would.

osode and pole aren't all that great. yes they are very good but there are better things. they are more like status items. kinda like "look how leet I am" items

He was making out that the +30 MP from is, isn't worth the hassle to go out and try and go through all the pissing about to get the Osode JUST for an extra 30MP, when you can just go buy errant armor.

Hopefully any bards in their right mind would want to get this piece of armor. Please look at the stats again.

Im not saying only Bards have priority to get this item, because honestly, it benefits every job that can equip it. I, myself have the Kirin's Osede and its great. +5 Healing MP was nice but since I only have 299 MP, it is nothing Ballad I and II can't heal back.

I hate to argue but the stats kirin's osode gives to a BRD (since YOU ARE a bard) +10 str, agil, vit, dex; a bard never needs this, yes it may be better then Errant because of the random stat boost but brd's don't need that.

From my server mostly 90% of Kirin's Osoders are RNG's

I was just merely stating that if you were to compare Errant body to Kirin Osede, the choice of the better piece of equipment is obvious.
There are rangers/bards/samurai/monk/bsts on my server that wear it. Bards may not be the most deserving since it is true that most stats do not affect the performance/effective of a bard. I guess its just me but I'm glad to have +10 VIT (Doesn't VIT benefit every job?), +30 MP and higher defense.
Just because some stats do not benefit a job does not mean they should be undeserving of it.
