Well from levels 5 - 8 I stayed in South Gustaberg and leveled off the Quadav's. From them you can get a good bit of exp, some I get 100 even at level 8, and also some amazing loot. The Amber and Amethyst, spellcasting Quadavs, drop spell scrolls which can sell for upwards of 400-500 gil a piece (Sneak and all). After that I did like Maddek said and went to North Gustaberg to kill Sheep and Goblins.

Well, I am lvl 5 now and I am having some trouble, but bees just are NOT enough to lvl up even at lvl 3! I got off of them then and went for stone eaters and barely lived off of Quadavs. Right now I look for any "decent challenge" mosters and when i ahve my 2hr "Mighty Strikes" available for "Tough" and "Even Match" monsters. I say stay with the decent challenges unless you have a party or even going out as a duo.

Vomp Hill is pretty good XP and if you can get a bone chip off an enchanted bones at night you are setting yourself up to complete the 'bare bones' quest to get a map of Dangruf Wadi which is a good place to XP past 10. To complete the 'bare bones' quest, talk to Degenhard, an old dancing man in blue on the Galka Bridge in Bastok Market.

At level 5 I fought walking sapplings, stone eaters and bees. I figure it is better to fight monsters that I can kill with no problem than to fight ones that take almost all my hp just to get slightly more, because dying just made all that time go to waste.
At level 7-9 I fought the quadavs which also drop money, and vomp hill is also a good place to fight untill lvl 10. T
hen I went to the Fumaroles. If you look at the South Gustaberg map it is the exit at the bottom left. I'll warn you, that place is a maze with no map to guide you, so I suggest drawing one as you go, because dying to get back to your home point is a waste of xp. There you will find more monsters than you can kill that drop xp that is worth the fight. I fought there untill lvl 14 and I was gaining 2 lvls a day.
After that I fought around Craig's Dem untill lvl 16 where I'm at now, with the problem of finding monsters that drop a good ammount of xp worth the fight, without dying. Oh and if you decide to fight there avoid Tremmor Rams, which are about 10x the size of Onry Sheep and look like they are on steroids

Are all of these assuming you have decent armor and a better weapon than that onion sword? I still have my starting equipment and the quadevs obliterate me. However, I am level 6. Perhaps I should concentrate on getting money for better equipment at this point. Any thoughts?Varo

dude ditch the onion, collect some fire crystals after getting signet casted on you, then learn to use the AH(auction house) then sell the fire crystal in clusters of 12 for 3.5k gil
then buy a sakara or w/e it's called, it'll rock
