Case 2: I pull with Carbuncle. Sic carbuncle on the mob, and laugh hysterically as the lich begins casting Tornado on him. I release him, and the lich is now too far to cast on me, and just follows me obediently back to my PT to be slaughtered. Buncie's a good avatar - he can take the initial spell, whether it is an AOE, an ancient spell, or a poison dot. But it doesn't matter because I as the puller retain sneak, and the lich is too far to cast on me.

Trust me this is a MUCH better way than pulling with cure in this camp. You run the risk of pulling useless tomb wolves which can AOE disease your PT, give crap exp, and take away from lich killing time.

Oh, and we were pulling from the southern hallway in the glacier side of eldeime - the pulls were too long if camping at the entrance. You could pull all 8 lich spawns from here, but need to travel past Ka and wolves to get to them. Stoneskinga really made the AOEs a joke, even at 48-49.

1- You dont even need sneak to pull with cure since your doing it from OUTSIDE the room. You can hit with a spell, doesnt matter.. you're not within aggro range. They don't link, if you get aggro its because you suck o.O;;

2- Well, I was assuming ya'll would be smart enough to pull from the bottom floor on the hume bones, not where theres a constant nearby aggro spawn.

Carbuncle is only useful when pulling things that link, its stupid to use it for liches. Do whatever you want, but all you're doing is costing your party a healer.

Hah... hah.. you think its hard now? Try doing it with competition for every lich that pops, a level cap of 55 (lucky for me I didn't bother doing it when it FIRST game out.. I waited a week or so heh), and in most likely an alliance like Ced said. Not good times:sweat:

have you tried going through beaudecine glacier entrance? it is a bit of a detour but i think its really worth it. there is a safe spot to camp in between two rooms with a lantern, and there is 8 lich spawns. The liches here are also easier.

I always thought that those were harder then the ones in eldieme:sweat:

I got mine through a normal level up PT. We went through the glacier entrance (I had Teleport Vahzl). This was around level 48-50. We ended up getting 4 Papyrus, and only three of us needed it. I don't remember everyone's jobs, but it was a balanced PT. This was before the bones got more stronger in a patch, but if you make a bone-fighting PT with Mnks, Rdms, or Blms then it shouldn't be that bad.

Personally, Im really happy that some people are willing to help new players with quests like this one. when i get my lich drop
we get 1 drop every 2~3 hours + killing lich nonstop
but now we get 2~3 drop every 1 hour:confused: :confused:

If you want to pull liches with cure, be my guest. A lot of them (at least half) spawn in tiny rooms on this side. Meaning, you need LoS (that's line of sight for you slow ones out there) in order to cast the spell. Meaning, you need to be pretty damn close to the lich to cast and land the spell. Mobs in this game, however, do not need LoS to whoop you with a spell. You get hit with a spell like bio 2, a nice quick cast, and you lose sneak. You lose sneak...now, pay attention all.. AT PRE LEVEL 50....tomb wolves will agro you if you are not sneak/invis. Liches WILL AGRO you if you are not sneak/invis. There goes a nice train to the zoneline.

This is not an issue of linking. It is an issue of being casted on by a lich while pulling with cure, and losing sneak as a result, and being agroed by stuff around you as a result. I dunno, maybe you all-knowing importers live on some magical server where this is a non-issue, but on Leviathan, this is the case. The safest and most flawless way to safely pull PRE LEVEL 50 is with Carbuncle (or whatever avatar, I don't care).

Edit : Oh! Also, I do remember that Liches also cast bind. Another fun spell you don't want cast on you when you lose sneak around sound agro mobs.

I'll give you a sage advice, don't say people are leeching of high level doing nothing because thats not true. When I did my quest, I did all I could to help my group. But you probably know that, you just said this to attack me.

The only reason why you are saying those things is because when you did the quest, there was only level 50 to help you so it was hard, long and painfull. So when you see a level 50 breezing through this quest, it pisses you off because they don't have to go through what you went through. For your information, thats called jealousy and envy.

So please, give me a break with your allmighty challenging quest that will give you a rewarding experience in the great world of Vanadiel. Because we all know that the first genkai is just a long and painfull chore that will take you days and days of mindless boring killing of monsters. The only thing I learned out of it is that people can win the loot by turning on Quartermaster. What a positive and learning experience â„¢

Wow what a waste of time that was. I said they dont link, not that they dont aggro. If you cant pull using cure without aggroing, you suck.

If you go to the SAFE camp WITHOUT tomb wolves, theres nothing to aggro. Got that? Gooood. Let me repeat, if you cant pull using cure without aggroing, you suck.

If thats the case, and you do infact suck, then by all means... go /smn
