You got a point Russta but I?fm not sure if you can read the Japanese or not. If you couldn?ft the GM basically says in that 10000 lines of text he gives, he said that all the people from the same server will be switched to the same server. So all the people on Rag will wend up on XXXX. Even if there was more than 1 server created, it wouldn?ft be a problem. Square cannot break that agreement. They can get sued if 2 friends sign up who have been friends since the game first came out and end up on different servers from each other.

It has come to my attention that a lot of people shifting are going to want to be on our LS just from observing the previous posts :p My post wasn?ft made to advertise openings in our LS; It was just to let people know who in our LS was shifting. Most likely the people I put in that list are going to be the only people on the new LS and that?fs it. We don?ft want another NeoG and I?fm sure you can all understand that. The LS will already be packed as it is.

Most likely everyone and their grandma is going to make a LS because it?fs like the perfect opportunity. If we want you on the LS we?fll let you know. We just want to keep the place strictly for a close group of friends. If I gave pearls to everyone I knew then the LS would break from over population and spam. Hopefully someone out there will make another LS as well for all the other people who are shifting that are not on our LS~

The prob is we dont know what server..some ppl from our ls dont go now. bc they wait for NA ver for shift. A GM say the same like the WS. All ppl from ragna go to the same server. But what server? then we are all on lakshmi what then? lol

Uhh...Russta it's been said by many people and a GM that when they Shift you it's to a New Server. Jei talked to him here --Jei's text . But you are right in many ways...(Still have two-three days to cancel) so if more information comes up, I guess you can always cancel.

I'm shifting pretty much for sure now. I spoke to a gm about it lastnight and he said that it is only one new world (new server) and that everyone will be shifted to that server. I would like to bid farewell to my friends on ragnarok and thank them for all their help. I will still be visitng on my old character Blizz (elvann warrior) so i'll see u guys sometime

The server part that everyone is concerned about says:

"The number of new servers has not yet been decided. If there is more than one server, people from one server will go to the same server" (Updated on 9/26)

So everyone on Rag will be guaranteed to be on the same new server, but if you have friends from other existing servers then they are not guaranteed to be on the same server Rag people moved to.

Well, I have redecided (is that even a word) to shift. I have come to the conclution that I have nothing to lose from leaving Ragnarok (no LS, no friends ) and it would be fun shaping a new world, taking controll of regions, starting an economy. And no, I don't want to powerlevel:sweat:. Had a friend powerlevel me once in IRO and it totally ruined the game for me, took all of the challenge and fun out of it. Feels like taking the easy way out. I also kind of hope that I will make some friends and join a LS though the shift. I would like to thank DJplaeskool (Syara ingame) for buying me my WorldPass. See ya all on the new server.

By the way is anyone bringing any items or equipment over to help the new economy? I was going to bring a few things (hopefully set a of each type of crystal dropped around Bastok), but I was just curious about what others are doing aswell.

Heh, a lot of this makes me laugh, really. This is the most amount of bullshit I've seen in a while.

No one has a real good reason to World Shift, or they would've done the gazillion other times they had a chance. Why now? This isnt your long awaited "EN server." First and foremost it will be a Japanese dominated server, almost guaranteed. With that said, all of your bullshit complaints are still gonna remain (I cant understand jp, I cant communicate with my pt, etc). Sure, you have *some* EN people there with you, but last time I checked no one seems to be at the same level or can form an actual good pt combination. Even then, there's no guarantee there'll be enough people at your level to pt with even with JP people coming in. Yeah, enjoy thumbing your anuses for a few months with that one.

Second, we have the group of greedy people, those that want to spend their days hunting and gathering HNM items so one day they'll be rich as nazis (that one's for you Drako). Well, this is a good idea in principle, if it weren't for the fact that it was stupid. Even if you collect a shitload of HNM items, who's gonna buy them? There is no established economy, so therefore how do you know the items will even be worth how much they are on Rag? Shit, some of them could end up being 50k-100k instead of several million for what you know. Oh, and here's the kicker: did you guys think somehow that you were creative geniuses and somehow were the only ones to come up with this idea? There are probably dozens of JP people thinking the same thing as you, and will shift because of it. Enjoy the competition~

Lastly, we have the flock of sheep: the people who are shifting simply because others are. They depend solely on other people for support and cant even stand on their own 2 feet. Ask yourself: are you going because your minor acquantances are going (I doubt they really are your friends), or are you going because you williingly choose to, with good reason? My guess would be the first one.

Anyways, none of you probably give a rats ass what I'm saying right now. Shit, I dont either. Just trying to point out the rediculousness of this whole situation. But seriously folks, go ahead and shift servers. Its nice to shed a bit of the dead skin once in a while. All I gotta say is: if things turn to shit, dont come bitching here about it.

It gonna to be a new world for all u people. At the moment i cant understand why u pple are shifting, Rag too populated? If 3% to 5% of each server will to shift to the new server. Hey, u will get just as populated server too.

High lvl people from all other server might shift too. > so the econmomy will get back to normal in no time. NM and HNM will still be hunted down by the crazily hardworking Japanese. The new server is not a NA dominated server.

It will be ur choice to shift. Hope u pple will excel.

One more thing, i will like to add, importer politics? New Importer giving other importer bad reputation? The Japanese in Rag are more or less acustom to importers in Rag. Why be bothered by Newbies giving importers bad name. They know we are here to stay. Respect and trust from Japanese have to be earned. Look at hikarisno and tragedia, they are respected, that why they got vermillion cloak from HNM LS. Getting vermillion cloak is not very easy. So all I can say, it is how u play the game, not where u r from.

I'm expecting to be just as populated, just as overhunted. One thing is for certain though; it will bring our LS much closer together, since we will have less places to turn to. My friends want to shift for whatever reason they believe in (some to get away from some people, some to start new reputation, some for god knows why), fine. I'm going with them, because I really have no other reason to stay here if my friends all leave. I believe in the end that all servers will have a similar ratio of NA:JP, so that's not really a problem. It really wouldn't make a difference to me personally if they decided to stay or go, but I'm not going to stay here alone when all of my friends are gone :sweat:

Sure I COULD stay here alone without friends and survive on my own, etc... but WHY would I do that? This is a game, we want to have fun here... Minor acquaintances? Maybe that's how you consider the people you meet, but don't apply your values to others. Friends online are just like friends in real life; they can be your best friend for one minute and stab you in the back for money the next. Only when real shit happens will you know who's really there to support you. I, as the shell holder for Requiem, was among the last to hear the news that the whole shell was planning to move, starting with only a few individuals for different reasons. I don't think anyone would follow someone who they felt was simply a "minor acquaintance" into a new world... and if we're all naive and consider each other real friends... wouldn't a mutual feeling mark a real friendship?

Besides, if they were only minor acquaintances... What would we be leaving behind? Even less significant minor acquaintances? :p We all know this isn't true though; there's a lot of people that I'm going to miss But this is how it turned out, best of luck fixing up the homeworld. We're off

Rag is mostly inhabited by JP people. This new server will have both ENG and JP people on it. The way Square intended people to play the game was so that JP and ENG ppl get along.

Of course the economy is going to be weak at first. Big woop of a surprise there. But it will just be influnced by both JP and ENG ppl.

It's just a new JP-EN Server. Not counting us importers, but when the NA release comes it will be both JP-EN players as it was intended.
