    Ok, from people I have talked to you and even post I have read I have can't seem to find a comfirmed answer on this or not.....

    If you change nations I know you must do Outpost quests for new nation. This is where some people get confused thinking they lost outposts. If you change nations you must do them for new, nothing has been lost, its different nation quest that must be completed, as with rank you do not lose rank you start over @ rank 1 with new nation because you have not done any rank missions.

    Here is where I can't seem to find a comfirmed answer.

    If you change back to your old nation do you still retain those old op you did long ago before you changed/changed back nations???

    Some say yes, some say no, others say yes this was changed in a patch.... but no one ever posted to comfirm it.

    I'm almost certain that when you change back you still have the Outpost Warps you did as a citizen of that nation.

      According to LS member you keep them across nation changes. He's able to go from West Sarutabaruta to San d'Oria yet on Fairy San d'Oria has never controlled Sarutabaruta region. He had switched to Winurst and back.

        wow thanks for such fast replys lol. I hit refresh after 2mins and 2 posts lol

        I am rank 10 Bastock and I want to change to sandy to help a friend who just started and is also sandy, so he will have @ least 1 person for all missions he can count on and since I am 75rdm I can safely escort him to do most of the non level limt missions easly.

          NO. The above information is very, very wrong.

          You DO lose all your outpost information when you switch nations - even if you switch back. I had several outposts done when I started my "tour of duty" from Windurst to San d'Oria to Bastok, and finally back to Windurst. I regained my Rank 10 status, but had to do all of my outposts over again, even the ones I had before I "left".

            When was this because it it was a long time ago would support the "changed in a patch" that is being said.

              I just scanned the update history for FFXI to be sure. Unless there is a hidden update with no notes (highly unlikely), this is the last word on outpost teleportation:

              PlayOnline Update February 2006:
              "Now when you talk to a guard about supply quests, the regions that you have already delivered supplies to will be marked with "(Done)." The quests are still repeatable if you have fulfilled the requirements for participation. However, changing your nationality will reset your progress record, and you will no longer be able to use regional teleportation. In order to utilize the teleportation service once again, you must receive and complete the supply quests from a guard in your new nation."

              It, too, does not mention what happens if you return to an old nation, but I can tell you from experience that you permanently lose those outposts.

              EDIT: For reference, I finished my "tour" of cities sometime around mid-2005.

                        I searched before I posted and only came up with 2 posts and one of them is where they said it was changed in a patch but unconfirmed.

                          Unless my LS member is lying to me and using some warp hack (Which I doubt). I've seen him warp from the Outpost in Sarutabaruta not more then 3 days ago. He's swearing that he changed nations in order to get the Sarutabaruta OP warp. Also on fairy San d'Oria has never controlled the Sarutabaruta region in order to do a supply run there. So only ways I could see if he either lied and hack, or really did switch nations.

                          He agreed that the supply runs you've done gets reset but you are still able to OP warp.

                            It's possibly because he switched multiple times? As in Windy => Bastok => Sandy => Windy again...that could do it? I dunno it's just a guess at how it may have happened

                              You're not making any sense here.

                              What nation does he belong to now? If he's San d'Orian now, then that doesn't compute if you say that San d'Oria has never controlled Sarutabaruta. If San d'Oria has never controlled Sarutabaruta on your server, then there's no way a San d'Orian can ever outpost to Sarutabaruta, since they couldn't have done the supply run either before OR after a switch.*

                              If he's Windurstian now, then of course he can get the Sarutabaruta outpost - this makes a lot of sense if you're levelling Clothcraft and want to do harvesting in Giddeus, since it's the fastest way to get there.

                              If he's Bastokan, then perhaps Bastok controlled the region when he switched (which might explain why he switched "just for the outpost").

                              * It occurs to me that there is one possibility that may be overlooked: It might be possible to acquire the supplies for a region, switch nations before the next tally, and turn in those supplies to the "wrong" NPC and possibly still get credit for it. I don't think this would work, but I'll allow for the possibility, but in any case it would only work for a single region since you cannot initiate a supply quest while holding supplies for another region.
