lol... giving away Emp hairpin...? god I should take part in gambling now, may be someone would give a Crosscounter or Peacock Charm if I win lol..
Anyway, when there's a way to win, there's a way to lose, you can't win if there is no lose... the guy was lucky to hit high everytime on everything he needs... my bro constantly lot high in LS pt, but he is sitting infront of me, so I doubt he has been using hacks... it's all luck

wow i hate gambling ><
I was once in Jeuno and these two ppl were shouting at each other that one had "stolen" a rare drop, but really alls they did wasd lot for it and one of them lost. I would prepose to sell the item and then split the gil up so that its not just one person that takes the fortune away ^_^

Did you lot for the pin or dice roll? There is a huge difference.
Lotting is controlled by the server as said in a previous post, there is no way you can cheat on lotting.
Dice roll is actually pretty easy to cheat on if you are going against someone who doesn't know the trick.
The command for dice roll is /random, which displays, "Dice Roll! Zenobo rolls 592(random number)!"
This is displayed in yellow text.
The only other way for the user to display things in yellow without changing their config is the /echo command.
/echo Zenobo rocks!
that will display "Zenobo rocks!" in yellow text.
So if i did:
/echo Dice Roll! Zenobo rolls 979!
people who did not know the trick would be faked out into thinking it was /random.
It's a really dirty trick, I've never fallen for it or used it, but man it would be tempting to try if it was for an emp pin....As black as they come.

Mm...
You can't show people /echo... /echo only appear in your screen, which is why it's called "echo". Which is why some people use /echo to remind themselves of provoke time, so not to annoy people nearby/partying

The lack of intelligent posts in this thread astounds me.
1. Casting Lots on items in a treasure pool is controlled by the server, there is no way to "hack" or "cheat" these values aside from luck.
2. Performing /random is done on the CLIENT side, and therefore can be hacked easily. I do not know any specifics on how this is done, but I do know that it is possible.
3. Just because he won the emperor hairpin from /random doesn't mean he's cheating. He could've just gotten lucky. Denying him the item that you promised just because you weren't expecting him to win was foolish of you, and you deserve to lose it. Suck it up and don't make bets that you can't uphold.
4. You can gain experience points by using items such as "Page of Dragon's Chronicles" or other items obtained by quests. As far as I know, even if this experience causes you to gain a level, the "Level Up" animation will not occur. I don't know if the messages "xxx gains yyy Experience Points" or "xxx attains level 50!" appear to other players or not, but it is possible.
