  • changing an 'idle' dat

    Greetings,

I'm not sure if this is an actual .dat file question. Quite some time ago I changed a few armor dats, so I am familar with what needs to be done. Anyway, I'm interested in changing some of the idle positions that players have to those of choice NPCs. What is the best way to find out what files are which and how to switch them? I havent used modelviewer in a long time, since i switched over to altanaView.

    Thanks for your time.

Ok, I use model viewer like, once. So, my info may not be too clear.. and I'm not sure it's accurate.

Give it a try though :D

    Anyway,
Open up the model viewer, go to settings (?) up at the top, and go down the list, you should come across something like Display ROM / foler Number or Display Item Number or something like that. All you do is check it, and then close the viewer and open it, and everything will have the folder / rom location displayed before it's name.

Like a weaponskill or something will look like this
    [1 - 35 - 95] Dagger: Weaponskill1

    Same for everything
In the moonlight, your face it glows.. like a thousand diamonds, I suppose.
And your hair flows like.. The ocean breeze...
Not a million fights could make me hate you, you’re invincible.
    Yeah, It’s true.
It’s in your eyes, where I find peace.

    [I love you, Rebecca :D!]

      Re: changing an 'idle' dat

Ok, finally had a chance to sit down with this. The attached file is what Im trying to accomplish for my wife's character. In modelviewer, there isnt a lable for the actual idle dat in the same fashion there is armor etc. What I do get in the information screen is:

the motion being displayed. 1-59-89.dat in "idl0"
      1-51-91.dat in "idl1"
      1-51-93.dat in "idl2"
      combined and displayed.

for the pose I want it reads:

the motion being displayed. 1-4-45.dat in "idl0"
      1-4-45.dat in "idl1"
      1-4-45.dat in "idl2"
      combined and displayed.

So... what does this mean I need to do?
