Greetings. I am new to this site and I have had the pleasure of viewing alot of this communities art.

A big flaw in FFXI is the recycled image of the monsters. Is it possible to change the monsters themselves and if so, where might I get the images? Frankly I would even accept a color change for every different named Crab I come across. I would really appreciate any information regarding my question. Thank you all and nice to meet you all.

Well sadly, if you change one crab, you change them all, so to speak. Certain mobs are different sizes, and a few have color changes as you go across, i.e. lizards, crabs and mandragoras, rarely though. If you change the color on say Coeurls, as I've changed them to a bluish white, it changes every coeurl in the game, save for specially colored NM's or mobs that I've yet to see. You can though, play until you get bored of one color of a mob, then just swap it to a new color for awhile...and repeat as long as you can find .dats for it :D
