Re: Looking for some modeling help

I got it off phabin's website...you can google it, or I can somehow make it smaller and attach it here...

Re: Looking for some modeling help

So I need another opinion - I've partially become attached to the shorter neck. I've included what I have so far, and something seems off - the bangs look too blocky. It's also making her look a little too old. So I was wondering if you had a suggestion or something to make it look more like Face 4 - A (picture included). Through Alpha or whatever. Thanks ^^

Though a quick thought - how hard would it to merge Face 4A and Face 6A together? Like the younger eyes but same mouth and ears, long hair and side bangs with cute fringe in the center.

Re: Looking for some modeling help

Well, merging the two faces with your ideas shouldn't be too hard. I just woke up from a nap, so excuse me if I sound a little off.

It'll be pretty easy to merge the faces and keep the wider eyes and delete the rest. The middle fringe of the face F4-A could be applied the same way as the Face F8-A was. Dunno if alpha can do that, seems easier to do all in VRS with simple moving in meta and re-texturing.

The shorter neck is kinda nice, but my only problem with it is (to me) it's too wide and kind of "muscled"--it take away some feminine air off her. I know Elvaans have long necks, but it works with their frame and honestly, half the time, you don't even notice it.

Yeah it is kinda meaty... VRS hates me at least somewhat - I followed you directions and tried to delete the parts of the model I didn't need and it wont even let me select it <.< I have the black box selected and all lol. Think you could give it a try?

Re: Looking for some modeling help

lol I'll try to write a simple guide with pictures one of these days.

Yeah, lemme save my current project and I'll do a quick merge =P

EDIT: I went ahead and hid the "oops" parts, and widen the eyes, but I'll leave the re-texturing to you =P

So this is what I have so far - thinking of a good way to blend the two parts together. I think it's coming out rather lovely.

Re: Looking for some modeling help

You could either raise the middle up to meet with the arches of the long-hair bangs, or lower the arches to the middle bangs. Looks pretty ^^

I love the wedding veil mod that was on Xoops <.< Looks better than 90% of what bards where anyways

EDIT: Got most of the center ligned up except that small piece in the front.

                  Double Post Edited:
kidria could you take a look at it and see if you could give me a hand with aligning some of the parts? Still thinking of a good way to blend it.

                      Thanks for your help .

Re: Looking for some modeling help

I can try, but I'm not that great with meta

Edit: Man, this is hard. It won't line up seamlessly, and when one side does, the other side doesn't. What we -could- do is re-combine the two and keep the pig-tail face's top of the head, but then it may not flow with the long hair... This reminds me of my pony-tail mod, yeesh lmao Uh... I can keep trying, but you might wanna keep trying, too. What you might be able to do is texture that section to fall down instead to the sides. It may look cleaner.

Yeah - just wish that annoying little indent would go away. I was thinking if it was possible in VRS to I dunno make some of the polygons connect there?

Not sure, I could try the apex to make the indent sides connect or some sort like that, something to make it raised and/or flattened. But I'm not sure if it'll work...hrm...

Well, lemme do that and see if it works. I'll edit this post and say if it did or not =P

Edit: Didn't quite go as well as I hoped lol Hrm, gotta think of another way...
