Umm I forgot where I got it from (actually I don't think it would be appropriate to post the website) *coughwindowersitecough*
There's a mod that changes all your font, icons to look like "old school" Final Fantasy (mouse hand for the pointer instead of a arrow)

This threw me off a bit. There's no more wrong with this than there is with changing your models or the equipment .dat changes. The status icon swap if the exact same thing as that, it's just changing a .dat file. You don't even need the windower to use these. So since so many people ask for them, here ya go.

Techinically speaking, both the use of windower and dat modification are against the terms of service. As you say, the effects of dat modding are mostly harmless so we allow the discussion, link, dat sharing, etc. Windower however, is just on the other side of that line of acceptability, so while discussion is ok, the link you posted is not.

I think the altered status icons you're referring to are already posted here on our forums if anyone wants to use them. If there's an updated version, feel free to post the file.
