Map / Dat Help

ok well i downloaded (awhile back and i dont remember where) the .dats for all the maps.. but they were edited to show NM/Coffer spawns and such.. they are now outdated with addition of nms and different things... can anyone help me out in how i would cahnge the pictures @ www.ffxi-atlas.com into .dds files that i can insert into the .dats for the maps?

i have tried a few things but anytime i make a .dds with them and try to insert via changetex, i get "Error : Unknown Type" and then some japanese text i cant read obviously... any help? i just need to know what i did wrong or whatever and i can change them all and ill upload a zip with the .dats if anyone else wants them... i just dont know why it doesnt work for me

My question is, once you have downloaded these map .dats what folder do you put them in?

you unzip them to the FFXI folder.

its

\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI


itll drop the files in the proper subfolders of that.

because the bmp2dat injector is screwed up. This braydon guy figured out a workaround that doesnt use the injector, but youd have to ask him to find out how since I dont know.

Kagerou did my sig He was going to upgrade it with some new lighting effects or somesuch, but then he forgot about it... hint hint.

I think I need to find that pic again. I did that around 5month (?) ago and I kinda changed my style again.
