Even worse is that the only form of punctuation you seem to understand is the period, which you use sparingly, as-is.

Just to let everyone know, there is an english version of the Model Viewer at this website. I downloaded the jp version earlier and thought I was going to be lost but I found an english version. I used it to make my new sig and I've been fooling around with it for hours. By the way, if my sig isn't working, please tell me. I'm trying out a new webhost to build a new website.English Model Viewer75 Mnk Sam | 70 Drk | 40 Blm | 37 Nin Rng Thf War

BMP edit
I have the newest version of this program and everything works great...except for one.
I have been able to edit the polygons with metaseq., but I cannot edit the textures and load them back into the modeler. I've played around with a lot of these modelers before and it's usually just as simple as editing the .BMP file. I do that but when I load it back in the viewer, no change. I'm sure it's a simple directory or refresh problem, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Any help would be great, thanks

A great tutorial and the links to the programs that you need can be found here:I have the newest version of this program and everything works great...except for one.

So how do you edit the models with metaseq? I've been using the magnet tool because everything goes screwy if I add any new points. Have you managed to get anything else to work?

Re: More model fashion (non)sense
Okay, n00b to the site but not teh modeler. After I get done with my current project [whm af1], I'll post on the "post your mods here" thread. Until then, I like most of the stuff that's posted. I haven't been able to read through ALL pages of it yet [at work] but I do see a reoccuring theme.
Those that STILL have probelm with the model viewer need to goto Foyle.net, or do a google search for "ffxi model viewer foyle" and you will find the most current .exe download along with updated .dat pages for the older version. The new version completely supports English and I've had no problems with it running on WinXP_home.
As far as problems viewing files or files coming out wierd after you mess with them, I have this to say.
#1 - Take some time doing your work. Bad-a$$, 1337 gear doesn't come from morphing a couple wireframes and recoloring your armor with MSPaint. It also doesn't help ur '1337n355' if you have hair sticking out of your helmet because u didn't take some detailing time.
#2 - Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're not allowed ADD or TAKE AWAY surfaces or junctions within the wireframe models. If you do, you're going to end up with the "scrambled body" effect. I haven't found a way to do this, but I would love to because personally, the models lack alot of detail that could make them look better.
#3 - Read some of the other posts before u ask a question, please. The same questions keep getting asked over and over. People keep giving help over and over. The help is already here, or at the home site of the supported apps.
Also, Since I've been using modeler, I only use 3 other programs to support it. I use Adobe Photoshop6.0 [or 7.0, don't remember], Mesaquoauiuao [or whatever the "FREE, DOWNLOADABLE" version of that JP [translated into NA] program is that everyone asks for] for editing the models, and the FREE graphic converter found through foyle.net help pages. Big talk for me I know, but I'll be producing results shortly and will also help with requests. I'm not called Monet for nuthin...§· White Mages are given their gift to help people ·§
