therefore I have very little knowledge of what other jobs need from food.

If you could kindly let me know what kind of foods people buy that would be great so i can help sell it to them.

As a mage I've only been selling pies and yagudo drinks

HQ Will get you 20k easily. Farm Crystals and Meat, Buy the rest for cheap from npc.

Farm or buy the Crystals buy Rice from AH. Rest from NPC's.

The only problem you might encounter is acquiring the pumpkins, which are sold at Elshimo Lowlands regional NPCs. Buy the Rest And Farm Crystals.

Meat Mith only yields 6 per synth, and HQ 1 (i think) is 12. They changed it from the update. Depending on your server, this may or may not be a good money maker. But if you farm your meats and do some research on gardening to yield you the crystals/wild onions/mhaura garlic/kazham peppers, it may give you a ton of money. But again that's depending, since if there are tons of cooks out there (which I would think there will be nowadays), the price value might fluctuate(sp?) frequently.

I've been eating Dhalmel Pie/Steak since 25ranger-50. Price just gone up from 12k to 16k a few nights ago >.>

For mages I think it's either eat +MP food and drick juice, or eat cookies for MP regen when you sit.

Anything below level 60 is going to be pretty iffy for profit in most cases.

HQing pies turns a good profit on Lakshmi. Apple pies +1 go for 20k a stack and Melon is 40k. Black Curry also turns a fair profit. The demand is low, but so is the supply ... due to the fact that it's a total pain in the butt to synth. Two nonstacking ingredients.

Snoll Gelato is my pet synth if you have the alchemy skill required. NQ makes 100% profit, HQ1 200%, HQ2 300% ... There is a limited supply of Snoll Arms, so you won't run into much competition on selling the final product.

In general, you'll turn the most profit per synth by cooking things with barriers that deter other crafters (rare/annoying ingredients, support skills, etc) or by HQing synths that are underappreciated by other high level crafters. Do some research. Flip through the AH listings and see what sells high and/or quickly, or for foods with desirable stats that aren't being supplied. See if you can obtain the ingredients within a reasonable investment of time, and if you can you've got a winner.
