De-Syn Question

Hello, What's the best way to imporve your de-syn results?
I'm currently doing Goblin Helm's, and usually fail 4x, get iron 4x, and get steel 4x (i also usually lose 5+ crystals lol) i'm lvl 32 smithing.
I do this on earthsday to. Is the best way to just raise smithing? and if so how mugh higher and how many more steel's would i get or irons?

One way to improve Desynthesis is to obtain the Desynthesis Moghancement.

Certain pieces of furniture like Acolyte's Grief, Ancient Blood, Book Holder, Tarutaru Stool & Wastebasket apparently give this Moghancement at varying strengths.

Another way is to increase your Smithing skill, yes, and finally is to desynth on certain day/moon cycles -- of which I have not thoroughly tested.

I heard that the moghancement doesn't help success rate, only the amount of items that you lose if you fail. I don't know if this is true or not however. I'd say it's still better than nothing.

I think you've got that confused with the elemental mog enhancement that reduces the chance of losing synth ingredients when using a crystal of that element. The desynth does help desynthing success *however* I've noticed it doesn't increase the HQ results which is what I assume MrMan really wants. I'd suggest trying on light and darkday and seeing if your chances increase. Moon phase can make a difference but its a pain in the ass waiting for the perfect moon phase so I tend not to stress it.
