I am willing to try anything to raise gil, I've tried fishing, mining, sythesis. Someone mentioned Logging to be a "lost treasure". Juast wondering if there are any Loggers here who could give me tips such as Buy X number of Hatchets, go to place y, log at point Z, average Gil per hour, thanks!

Since you're San D'orian, you should just go to Ghelsba Outpost. It's like a 2 min walk from town, and if you bring full field gear you will probably get like 5-6 elm logs with a stack of hatchets. Elm logs go for about 3500 gil on my server, so thats 17,500-21,000 from the logs, minus cost of hatchets which is like 5,400 a stack. So its not that great of profit, but it breaks up the monotony of always farming. Note however: Ghelsba is a NOOB ZONE ALERT. People will do anything for logging points there, and I noticed miners usually don't take a mining point if somebody's already there, but loggers in Ghelsba will routinely come by and swipe at a tree you are at. Whether you think this is ok or not is up to you...

Thanks. The 15K profit is better than I am currently doing! How long does this usually take? Also where abouts in ghelsba are these points? I know some are by the heavily wooded area near the entrance, are there any elsewhere or is that it?

The spawn points for Logging Points in Ghelsba Outpost only spawn in that wooded area near the entrance. Typically, you'll make somewhere between 3-6K net profit per hour there depending on your server prices. The only wood that is worthwhile for sale there is Elm Log, which typically runs between 3.5-4K, but its a very rare log to acquire. Otherwise, the only reason to log there is to raise early levels of Woodworking.
