Ok im on a tight budget saving for lvl 40 Mnk gear =(. I was mining in palborough for the occasional Platinum Ores and Mythril Ores. But I havent hit Platinum in like 5 runs! Every since the update I heard Platinum is scarce. So I decided maybe I should mine at the Grotto for Gold and Darksteel. SO I was wondering how often does it strike Gold and Dark? Atleast once every stack of pickaxes? Any help on this would be real nice. I have alot of saving up to do.

I found it to be kinda random. Some trips with one stack I'd get one gold others I'd get gold, darksteel and ore and on really crap trips I'd get zilch. You'll probably make most of your money taking iron ore and making iron ingots.

It's really random. One day I walked out of grotto with 3 gold and 3 darksteel, another day i walked out with just a bunch of iron. My average trip sees at One gold, 1-2 darksteel, 2 colored rocks, and the rest is iron.Comment
