The spot is very good for catching moat carp during any moon, at least that I've noticed.

When using little worms I tend to catch a relatively balanced number of moat carp, black eels, tricolored carp, and crayfish. My rod also rarely breaks, I can go days with out a problem. On the other hand insect balls work excellently for moat carp, and this is what I typicaly use for them. There is a downside and that is my rod breaks more often. During a typical newmoon I will fish though a total of 10-14 stacks of insect balls and come away with 6+ stacks of moat carp.

I've fished for various types of carp and come away with a number of different results (my guesstimates on percentages in parentheses):

West Ronfaure (lake):
Little Worm: Crayfish (~60%), Moat Carp (~40%)
Insect Paste: Moat Carp (100%), low bite rate

East Ronfaure (rivers):
Little Worm: Crayfish(80%), Tricolored Carp(18%), Gold Carp(2%)
Insect Paste: Tricolored Carp(90%), Gold Carp(10%)

Windurst Waters/Walls/Woods(identical profiles):
Little Worm: Crayfish(50%), Moat Carp(45%), Tricolored Carp(4%), Gold Carp(1%)
Insect Paste: Moat Carp(80%), Tricolored Carp(15%), Gold Carp(5%)

Jugner Forest (large lake):
Little Worm: Crayfish(50%), Moat Carp(45%), Tricolored Carp(4%), Gold Carp(1%)
Insect Paste: Moat Carp(35%), Dark Bass(30%), Tricolored Carp(30%), Gold Carp(5%)
WARNING: This lake has a large number of Rusty items which will break your small rods. Use a composite or mithran rod here (consider yourself duly warned)

I never get tricolored in Windhurst, only moat carps and the occasional gold.

Like Kod said Rabao is decent too as you can still skillup on the sparse sandfish that bite the insect paste as well. Prolly get 10-12 carps for every sandfish pulled up there.
