Hello everyone! This is my first post as an ffxionline member.

I'd like to let ffxionline know, I will do my best to follow the rules of this forum. The allakhazam community died today when the news of the merge became public. Their are many like myself in refuge now that allakhazam's owned by IGE. For many of us, it's still hard to believe since allakhazam has been our home for several years.

Before the merge, allakhazam.com was the biggest anti-RMT site with everything you could ask for from a FFXI forum/database.

Without any sugarcoating, our reason for moving to ffxionline as a community was the simple fact that this is one of the only remaining FFXI forums with no support of RMT. With allakhazam gone, that's enough for us to give up our invaluable guides, posts, and karma ratings spanning several years for a new place to belong to continue standing against RMT. It was a big move and alot more to give up then it may seem.

Ant-RMT is what we believe means the difference between a good community and a bad one. We would like to continue as a community without RMT.

4. Speak with FFXIonline about possibly setting up a donation option and a membership option should the volumn of traffic cause hosting issues.

Just throwing out a "me too" on that one. Perfectly willing to donate a bit to help alleviate the bandwidth mess we're making.

My goodness that sig is huge. I'm not trying to single you out Kenichii, but your sig reminded me of this question. Mods/admins - are there any guidelines in regard to sig size/length, etc? It's one of the reasons I avoid KI (besides the flaming).

7. Keep signatures and avatars file size small!


Image sizes used in the personal photo or signature area must be kept small! Please keep the images below 25 Kilobytes and no larger than 550 pixels wide and no taller than 350 pixels tall. Any images in the signature or avatars area going over 25 Kilobytes may be subject to being edited out. These limits apply to ONLY signatures, personal icons, and avatars of the vBulletin system under personal profile in your control center. 25K is A LOT for signuatures and personal photos, remember these images repeat over and over. So 25K picture X 10 posts in thread = 250K! And soon it can reach several megs! (Especially when your browser is stupid about caching the files.)

If you want to show someone your fan art or an image of something you are talking about on a thread, those limits do not apply. (But please be courtious and keep the image sizes reasonable; or if it is very big, provide a link to it.) No one wants to sit there all day for your image to load just to read a post past yours. Severe violations will result in a warning followed by banning for repeated offenses. If too many people abuse the signature or avatar function, it will be turned off.

So Kenichii if you see this make sure you adjust your signature.
