problem logging into playonline

I got this game yesterday and im looking forward to playing it. i got my password and id all set up, then i created a member from the playonline menu. Then i get to the login screen, And a message pops up saying "you cannot loging because current xbox live account has not enabled chat and messaging". this has got me all confused because i have no idea how to do that. can anyone please help me out? (Yes, im playing on the xbox 360 version)

Ummm.. Try to look around in your Xbox Live settings on the Xbox Dashboard. I have a 360 but Ffxi for PC, so i wouldn't know. ><
