Flash Website?

Just would like to make a suggestion to maybe update the site to flash ....

How about updating the servers so the site isn't down at least once every day

The site does experience a lot of downtime during peak hours. But during the other times it's fine. Just so many users on the board.

flash app site??????? bandwidth... 56k... server

..... flash... i have a year old flash intalled..
flash apps may look cool and all, but they will take up a lot of space, and a lot of bandwidth to dl. i don't care if it takes the 56kers longer (cable owns, i have 700kbits/s, my friend has 7000kbits cuz he doesn't have a tv, a lot more than 56kbits anyway), but it will get annoying if the 56kers have extended use of bandwidth.. 250 56ker using 28-33kbits = 7000-8250 kbits..
that is a lot of bandwidth:sweat: . imagine if it takes each 2 min to dl one app, and they dl apps by going to many forums at once..
think about it. i suggest admins figure out how to get better connection before anything is changed. the site is fast now, but how much longer if peak times strech the bandwidth to the max through the flash apps.
if you have oc3, go ahead and make this a flash place, but if you can't afford high level connection, please don't do it.

Well I was just wondering how it would look...and the 56kers and go to the text version while higher connection people can use flash. I will be more than happy to help if I could...

Don't worry We may think about this in the future But we first gotta fix the little problems to go to higher reachings this site will blow ya mind in the future

Flash doesn't take up more space if you're using vectors, system fonts, and actionscript instead of tweening and jpgs. The site needs content and hosting upgrades first, though =>_>=

The website isn't flash because simply put; more trouble than it's worth. This website isn't about design, isn't about looks, its about content, and a community. It would be almost impossible to have all the forums running on flash, and well, we have enough problems ^^.
