I went to help my friend kill Shadow Lord today... surprisingly...

it surprised us all becasue our level wasn't reduced
We went there with rdm (me) blm whm brd and 2 MNKs. everyone are 61 and im the only 63
upon entering the battling area, we didn't get the "level icon" .... we only get the "battle zone" icon

I only casted cure 3 like 4 or 5 times. and then i checked the shadow lord and his HP was already down to 40%......
i was like "what~~~?"

No one used 2 hour ability at all. And our life bar hardly touch the yellow zone.

does it suppose to have a level 60 cap??? was that a glitch?

Its not going to be epic... its a boss fight that takes place at less than 1/4 the maximum level of the game. Dont be ridiculous

they should put up a level 55 cap

TT a 60 cap should be enough... i went there with full PT level 57 once and we were dead so fast....

Back when the cap was 55 and when there was no such thing as ancient magic, it was definately considered a tough battle.

Why is wanting the shadowlord fight to be "epic" ridiculous? He's the final boss of the original game and I bet when the cap was 50 most people considered him as an epic mob. Now unless they program some new boss that makes the shadowlord look like nothing then i'll consider him to be not epic.

last tim im was Shadow Lord it was a hard fight
Lv60Whm,Lv60MNk,Lv53BLM,Lv60rdm,Lv55pld,lv57pld

we did battle around 30min, 20min he only walk around with pld 2H ability ....at last the 2pld died and no more mp was left for blm,rdm,whm....the mnk use 2h ability when he had 100HP left Shadow Lord finaly died ...it was hardest battle in my Gamelife in FFXI, even garuda and ifrit was easyer...i did realy enoy it ^^
