I was in Bastok for some guildsmith when I checked this guy bazaar, he had nothing great, but then I look at that egg......at a first sight I though it was the common egg moogle gives, but instead.........GOD IS THAT REAL??? Ranged Accurancy+100 and Provoke addition??? its unhuman equip!!

Its pointless for any weapon that requires ammunition, and pointless for a ranger.

I see it as much more useful for someone who wants to play something like PLD/NIN though.

Or does the additional effect of "Provoke" only occur if you hit the mob with the egg?

It has been in game for quite some time, and the Ranged Acc+ only takes effect when you throw it, so if you wanna throw millions of gil away, go ahead. And additional effect provoke means it provokes when you throw it, not to let the user provoke without having war subbed, it's like equipping lightning arrows and additional effect lightning damage only occurs when you shoot it and rangers don't get en-thunder from equipping the arrows.

It's pretty good for BST as it increases CHR with equipping it, and it increases HP recovery when resting. Totally, utterly useless for RNG, though

I think that +100 acc is just to make sure that you don't miss if you do actually decide to throw the egg. But who the hell would want to throw it :p Even if it is D100.

its used in addition to a boomerang type weapon.

Also main use is the hp regen and chr+.
