Desperately need an upgrade to the lvl 55 swords I'm using ... anyone have any info how to obtain these swords? Verdun ... no idea, Rune Blade, friend of mine said something about buying something from goblins in the 3 cities and trading them somewhere, but ... as you can see that isn't quite as helpful as I'd like ...

I know it doesn't really matter, cos I don't bother melee'ing in exp parties anyway, but I'd like to be using a sword that isn't 20 levels outdated when doing other random shit.
Due to certain, mm, happenings, whatever small glimmer of hope I had for enhancing is gone, and I will never get it. Ditto Joyeuse. Wing sword is probably another alternative, but in my opinion it's way overpriced (and both the swords I've mentioned in the topic are better, anyway).
Anyway, from some random browsing on MysteryTour, it seems Verdun is a synthesis item. Rune sword (and all the corresponding rune weapons) seem to be from some goblin trading thing. Basically, from my attempt to decipher the wonderful english:
-> Get 'infinity core' from Dynamis.
-> Buy chips from Goblin NPCs in the three starting cities.
-> Trade infinity core and chip to 'strange apparatus'
-> With right combination of chip/core and apparently a password of some sort, you'll randomly get an item that ranges from shitty (earth cluster) to pretty good (rune weapons).
