I've met some truly horrible high rank JP players that play worse than the average NA player at my level.

High rank and being JP do not necessarily = good player.

At my level, I really feel that the main difference between a JP player and a NA player is equipment. Due to obviously longer playtime, a JP player is likely to have a level 75 job or numerous level 50/60+ jobs, is more likely to be part of a HNM linkshell, have high level crafting, etc, and therefore more likely to be super rich. Skillwise, I haven't seen much difference between NA and JP parties.

              No, I don't have 231 days of playtime, but I'm not an importer/JP .

When you, being LV71 with an EXP PT in Teriggan, see some LV73 RDM shouting "hahahahaha" ...well you know.

I'm not JP only anymore, but that's simply because there's not much non-jps in the LV70+ range, not counting in set pts and people I've never seen seeking for PT before.

But then again I had my last non-JP with lvl49....and I quit it after about 10 minutes and blacklisted most of them.

                non-SET-non-JP-PTs = da suck

it was so funny that i once got invited to an all jp party, i'm lvling my war 25, i was the 5th guy to get invited, 4 jp invited before me are all rank 7+, i guess they were lvling side job for fun, and then they invited the 6th, a jp drk with rank 3, i remember he had comment saying jp party, and i don't speak any english, he ended up translating stuff from jp to eng to me, haha, he said something like you do ws yourself since mine couldn't chain with them, i was using 1h axe, and the drk either use gs or scythe, and thf using sword i suppose, i'm sure my 1h axe can chain with them, but i didn't bother to search for translator and say it, so i just sc them after, and i can guess some japanese, and i read that the drk said i forgot 1h axe can chain with us or something, it was so fun to see him said that, haha,

the funny thing is the high rank jp (experienced players) didn't bother on commanding pple what to do, but a comparatively less exp jp said what to do and made mistake, haha, it was a fun pt, but kinda short, i think they had dinner or some sort so pt broke after around 1 hr of playing.

Another thing I like to add is that some Japanese players don't like to play with NA players because of contrasting styles.

The way NA run their parties and JP with thiers are somewhat a little different.

I have met some JP players which adapts to NA styles. However, there are still some that don't due to various reasons.

Perhaps if everyone adapts and employ more tolerance to each other, then maybe we have less degree of mistrust yes?

They had the game for 2 years, now after 2 years they should adapt to YOUR way of playing? Interesting, you would think it would be the other way around.

You act as if these are mutually exclusive things. Is it really so hard for everyone to meet halfway? I know I've had no trouble with such things.

It's only lame when North Americans/Importers do it cause I guess they think they're so good that they don't deserve to have a shitty party. They stand around all day doing nothing and start complaining and bitching that all these NAs are passing them up level wise. I wonder why

                              she say ok

we ask her if she can teleport us with her whm if its lv is high enough for teleport

she say ok and change job
                              guess what

lv 75 whm with nopile tunic and all rare things
                              thats was her equipment

                              anyway

after 10m of great exp 2k exp less than 30m

                              our pld say
                              afk

                              we wait

                              we wait

                              and wait

                              more than 15m

                              then our rdm say
((sorry have stuff to do gotta go))

                              then the pt disband

yes thats why they say JP-ONLY cuz some of the NA suck

i dont think she will pt with NA anymore

i think most of the jp who say JP-ONLY its cuz they try some bad NA pt like my last pt

                              Main : Sephiro
                              Mules : Sephira Eviljin Sephon

My 2 gil. Thoughts like this exist too.

Say a person is looking for a player and there are 2 available. Job/race/level/rank/player skill etc are identical but one is JP, the other NA. If communication is important to that player, isn't it natural for him/her to invite the person who speaks their own language? Sure, the auto-translator works for basic battle plans. But it can't translate daily conversations. PTs which have both NA and JP tend to be so much quieter than JP only parties. I personally prefer PTs where it's one language (wether it's Japanese or English). I feel bad that one group may not understand the other so I don't talk as much. I can't be bothered translating everything either - it's supposed to be a means of relaxation for me and I feel like I'm working.
