Need advice, thinking of quitting.

Well after 220 days of playtime I am finding it harder and harder to keep my interest with the game. I have a few high level jobs (see sig) but none past level 67. I just can't be bothered to get 35k+ exp every level. Not like there's anything for me to look forward to, is there? I keep changing jobs for a fresh experience just so I don't get bored so quickly but now I've ran out of jobs, and interest altogether.

Is there anyone else out there that has felt or still feels like this? Anyone got any suggestions? It'll be a shame to quit now but something tells me it's my only choice.

However, I do have some advice for you. Get grounded somehow (like I did) regardless of whether you live with your parents or not. Stay grounded for like... two months, then come back to FFXI. It'll be fairly refreshing. You could also find little things to do in the game, like "die" in real life or something. /cough

LAst year I left FFXI for about 4 months after coming out of the hospital...made me look at life all funny after that.
Went to japan for a couple weeks. Made an advance in my job.
Got a house..celebrated living.. Stuff like that.

Seriously though..take abreak and come back to the game later..
Now i take a 2 week break every 4 months..Just came off last one a week ago. its amazing how you feel after time off.

Throughout my leveling in some lvls, after being onslaughted with dumb players, I was close to quitting. I took 2 weeks off, came back and was so refresed.

Breaks are good.

Middle of last year I kinda made myself scarce for about 4 weeks and totally pwned PSO Episode I&II, and by the time I came back, I was ready for more...

given, you have almost double the playtime I have, but I'm sure a little divorce from FFXI would do you some good.

Trust me, 1 or 2 months down the line you'll see a screenshot/update of something new, and be all "I wish I could try that!!" (Dynamis Shadow Lord..)

.. just take a little breather, i take a one week break at least once a month. Its the only way I can keep my sanity.

Yeah, just take a few weeks off and do something else. I took off 4 weeks becuase I was tired of doing the same thing everyday. When you take a break I bet you can't wait to come back. Btw, go play Lineage or Counter-Strike or something.
