Fancy JP characters and funky smileys ~

So anyway I got JP support installed, and can now type Japanese! Deo‚³‚ñ‚¨‚ß‚Å‚Æ?`?I Urm so anyway my horribly inadequate Japanese skills aside, how do I do:

1. The musical note thing.
2. The upside-down triangle that everyone seems to use in 80% of the smiley faces.
3. The "hands" of the smileys.

If it helps ... I'm a total newcomer to JPN input on computer, I have MS IME set up, everything is default, left alt+shift to switch input languages, left alt+ ~ to switch between romaji/kana input ...

You need to "install" kaomoji into IME but I can't actually remember how to do it other than it's really simple and just requires a notepad file. I know, for sure if you search the board well enough you will find out how to install it. You can get some of the basic ones by typing "kigou" and hitting space bard.

"„t" is a Latin character for "D" thus u type "de-" or "‚Å?[" and hit space for a list.

for "“Ê" type "totsu" or "‚Æ‚Â" and select from the list.

the reason why it's showing a dot is that this forum board system isn't capable of dealing w/ it. meaning, we can't do anything about it. not a problem on ur side.

Do any of you ever sometimes find you can't type JP in-game? Like I'll be doing something, or chatting, or whatever, then it's like I hit some unknown key sequence that disables my IME, leaving me with roman alphabet input and unable to switch to JP.

Any ideas what this keystroke might be, or whether it's another problem entirely?

if u r talking about that u can only type ‚`‚a‚b‚c‚d (wider ones) rather than ABCDE (regular ones), then press Shift+CapsLock. this should bring the IME back to japanese state.
