Clearing up a rumor about Fame

A lot of people seem to be under the impression that you need to do at least 10 quests in each region to get Jeuno fame; some say you just need at least 50 quests done (non repeatable), etc.; well, I know for a fact that you do not need to do "at least 10 quests in each area or "50 quests done".

I have done 11 different quests in Sandoria, and 23 seperate quests in Bastok. I have only done 2 quests in Windurst, 1 quest in Jeuno, and the Samurai Quest (which I think is Tenshodo fame).

I can get the gobbie bag and RSE quests to activate. I have rank 3 fame in Bastok, and I believe rank 2 fame in Sandoria (have to double check). I have the default fame in Windurst.

I did have repeats however, in Sandoria and Bastok; more so in Sandoria (the bat and rabbit ones). I did the Valkurm sand quest in Bastok 4 times, the flint stone one 2 times, and the Mommy's Helper one about 10 times.

Unfortunately I do not have exact numbers because of the repeats, but I just know I didn't do shit in Windurst and I was able to get the quests fine.

rank and missions have nothing to do with fame. The only thing rank gets you are extra quests which you otherwise wouldn't be able to get.

When did I say anything about missions? I was alluding to the fame tiers; I believe there are nine of them. I just referred to it as rank 3 fame, and not tier 3 fame.

I have done about 18 unique in Windurst, and over 20 repeatables there. Done about 4-5 in Bastok, and none in Sandoria. Obviously done the subjob/bst/nin too.

I can't get it yet. I'm thinking that when I do over 20 unique in Windurst it might change. That's my personal theory at any rate.

Sorry to post again, but what was the 1 quest you've done in Jueno? It's not the Torchbearer one is it..... ? O_o

Yep. i got gobbiebag, rse, and the wondermagic set quests with 0 bastok quests completed. I didn't get the clocktower oil quest until i went to bastok and did some quests there.

I gotta clear this up.. people are getting the wrong ideas. This thread is pointless... everyone knows that jeuno fame consists of ALL the areas individual fame, combined. Doing 10/10/10 quests in each of the areas gives you the same Jeuno fame as doing 30/0/0.

For RSE, you need around 30 unique quests and some amount of repeats. Thats all there is too it, don't overcomplicate.

I thought it was based on the Average of the 3 kingdoms.

Going by that logic, my fame in Jeuno & Selbina/Rabao should be maxed out by now..........

No, it's not an average. I reached Hero status in Jeuno at the same time as Windurst. At the time, I had done only enough bastok quests to get warp (very few...), and had not yet received fame high enough to get the sandy related summons.

As celeras said, it's combined. Or at least heavily weighted ignoring your lowest fame.

I maxed jeuno fame by doing sandoria quests only (repeatables), just to second what celeras said

When i got my RSE quests, I had done about 30 unique quests, and 40 repeatable. I Kept track from 50 total quests on up.

It took a total of 70 for me to get the RSE.
