All those cursed equips...

Anyone has a rough (or even better, a detailed) process to uncurse them to get those nifty equips?? I heard its quite complicated..

Someone in I THINK Windy, might have been Sand, asked me to bring them cursed equipment. Maybe it was in the cathedral but I can't exactly remember...DIG up that info! I'm curious!

Yeah, that new NPC in San Cathedral says something about cursed items. I was pretty much skimming through, he said too much... but I remember seeing the word cursed if that counts.

All in all there are altogether 6 different types of cursed series, Shura, Adaman, dalmatica/zenith, kaiser/koenig, crimson/blood and hetacomb. Each of this series are meant of a certain group of jobs and carries boost for particular stats. Say for instance a thf.... A thf will no doubt choose the hetacomb series and if he is to wear every single piece of the series, he can expect to get +20dex, +36str, +10 acc, +20atk and others....For wearing 5 pieces of equipment and getting such a boost is really very very good but... EAch series of armour comes with its own negative bonues. Hetacomb if fully worn will give you +45 to slow.

Here are the general stats to each series

Shura bonus +str +acc
Penalty: - hp(no big deal)

Adaman +acc +atk, +some str and dex,
Penalty: mainly evade penalty and some penalty to all other stats. Quite bad if you ask me, good for non-tanker melee

Dalmatica/zenith +int +mnd +some char
Penalty: very much hp is converted to mp but this should be a advantage not disadvantage, thus this series is quite good, unless there is hidden penalties which is not shown.

Kaiser/Koenig +vit +hp +some char and evade
Penalty: str and dex, mainly for the tanker class.

Crimson/blood This IMHO is a very good series based on the stats tat i have read.. absolutely no penalty and the boost are so rojak tat it suits no other class but the great rdm. Elemental boost, dex boost, mp boost, hp boost, str boost, int boost... but no penalty... why ah?

Hetacomb +dex +str +some acc atk
Penalty: +slow, which i believe makes this series very very lousy for melees. The added slow really makes the melee almost useless in a fight even with the strong boost in dex and str. But for a thf, this series can be used jsut before fuidama using /equip and /equip other equipment immediately after fuidama. All tat stats boost is going to increase the thf's average fuidama damage by +-100 average.

The site lists them as guilding ingredients yet the list doesn't appear as a recipe..

Interesting. Sounds great for fuidama, but won't this reset TP back to zero each time it is equiped and then unequiped?

its armor, not weapons, changing armor doesn't effect your tp.

Adaman series has eva and HP- effects, if I'm not mistaken. The rest of what you said appears to be correct, according to equipment database site. This is stupid if its guilded items, they expect everyone to become guilders or be rich, now theres only 1 option, funny.

I've seen a few cursed armors actually on sale in Jeuno AH. It's the first time I've seen -1 items, lol. My guess is that you use super-high level guild skill to make the cursed armor, then it becomes the r.e. super-armor after you uncurse it at the npc.

Considering what I've heard drops the items you need for the quest, I'll be happy if I ever manage to buy a (plain) hauberk. =O
