anyway i noticed that some player realy easy win this, a THF friend just win the fight after stealing a item from maat he did not even killed maat, of course successfull steal, another win (whm/taru) after fighting and surviving 7.5min and using hexa strike.....he did not even had any High Potion with him...realy strange

and after seeing that i could not do more than 30-40damage to him, Hexa Strike i dont know i did not survive long enough, while he hitting me with 100-250 ...i belive there is no way, for whm, to realy kill him and not in 10min -_-;

on the other hand...maybe im just wrong....

Thinking about what Sting said above about that theif, when I won...Matt didnt fall to the ground or anything, I just did a WS then all the sudden I am standing outside the bc with a win. His HP was still more than 1/4 when I start the WS...none of my other WS caused that much damage.

Wondering if there isnt some set of actions you can take and the actually killing of him isnt necessary?

For every single job, there is certain <action> we can take which is different for every job, that after we did this action we will automatically win!?!?
(OR MAYBE, THERES A HUGE BUG ON GENKAI 5 XDDDDD, no.... i dont think thats it)

so any DRK here did some weird action with out actually beating Maat up entirely and then win all of a sudden????

im 90% sure that you need to do a job specific(?) thing...

by the way, im not too good with items

is there some sort of elixir or potion that heals 100% of HP or MP??

if is can you get multi of them? im sure if we get a pack of those type of super heal item we can kill em no problem XD...

here is how i did:

buyed some high potion about 10-20,becouse there were not enough material for it in auction -__- , 6 Yagudo drinks, im go in fight, put stoneskin,aquavail,blink and protect on, and started attack...i didnt do anything just stand and autoattack,

after stoneskin was off, im did start use high potions and sometime use heal 3 and 4, after MP did go aroun 250 im used high potions only, if i had enough TP i used ws, after some time around 5min, i did use WHM 2H ability,becouse mp was to low and hp only 86 after he did ws , after the 2H ability he did start casting Diaga, i thought this is my change get Stoneskin back on me, and run some away from him, after he again did interrupt my casting im did use ws again, and suddenly im win fight ^^ dont ask me about, how realy to win, this was the way i did ^^

On whm im now 100% sure, you NOT MUST KILL maat.

I am looking forward to trying this with BST... sounds like vengeance for the net 800 exp per hour I've been getting these past couple levels. One english speaking BLM on my server has lost 3 or 4 times now against Maat, very hard for some jobs. MNK...ranger...other jobs... ouch...

If it's something job specific... I guess whm has to heal a lot, PLD has to survive... but attacking jobs I suppose u gotta kill it cuz that's your job :sweat: :sweat: :sweat:

so far we know that
THF- steal item successfully and ur done
WHM- heals up to 4000++?? HP and ur also done
as from the post by other ppl thats what we get so far.
out of the how many jobs we got? 14? we only know 2 jobs quick and safe way to win LOL omg~~~~
