Fire Sword or LongSword?

Call me cheap but i do not like spending alot of money lol, why? because its hard enough making money itself.

Anyways, i'm lv.19 and i need a new weapon, sure, Bee Spatha was great for the past few levels buts its not cutting (excuse pun) it anymore. I go to AH and two see very nice swords.

Fire Sword - lv.18 - DMG.15 - Delay 225 - additional fire effect - around 7.5k

LongSword - lv.18 - DMG.16 - Delay 240 - around 6.5 - 7.0k

Now seeing as i don't want to buy something only to find the other choice BETTER. So i need your help, should i buy one or the other or neither? :sweat:

neither warriors should use a 2 hand axe or a 1 hand axe, 1 hand swords are to weak for warriors at Valkrum, or Qufim. lol my level 6 black mage sub job does more damage than a warrior with there 1 hand sword XD.

that's only 1k differences.... I would go for long sword myself. more D means more damage from WS which is what you want.

And hmm just my advise as oppose the the reply above.... keep training 1 hand sword. it's a really important weapon to have just for renkei/skillchain sake.
Together with sword, you should train axe, 1h or 2h is up to you. And also spear. Axe is your best weapon, and spear is same as sword, it is for skillchain.

as war you should skillup multiple weapons definately skillup both axes as they have the highest skill for war and then chose another that you would like. Generally that other weapon should be something that can make incurve renkei because thats the most common(spear, 2h sword can make incurve at low level). I think that 1h sword is more important for the lower levels then the higher ones because generally all the renkeis, if you renkei XD, will be explosion but after 33 id generally say dont worry so much about 1h sword and concentrate on the better weapons.

basic weapon>

lvl 1-30 - 1h sword, spear, 1,2h axe
lvl 30-50 - spear, 1,2h axe
lvl 50 onwards... mostly 1,2h axe (you wil be ask to use 2h axe most of times)

Play with whatever weapons you want but as from experience I have a fire sword and rarely do I get extra damage from that additional fire damage... So I would say go cheap and go long sword... plus it looks nicer with taller characters

I bought the Firesword for one reason, speed. That and I got it at a decent price. Longswords were going for more than what I paid for my Firesword (8k opposed to LS going for 9k). If the fire damage doesn't proc that much, "oh well", but I'll be swinging faster and accruing more TP.
