Its probably a combination of the fsb running synchronously with the RAM @ 200, the dual DDR @ cas 2, and umm little tweaks every where else - software or hardware. :p

I just downloaded the benchmark and I'm having trouble.. I already set the language to Japanese but I don't think that's the problem. I keep on getting the error: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." this doesn't make much sense to me. I'm on a computer with multiple users but I've also tried to access the file on the main user's account but still the same error.

Anyone have an idea what's up with this?

Hey, josh.
My instant thought would be that you aren't on the administrator account, so try logging off and re-installing the file into somewhere like c:\program files\ in the administrator user, if that doesn't work, ask a diferent person

Jibe, you see the name of the text file next to your benchmark program? It is all jibberish right now, it is an indication that your Japanese support is not set correctly. Until you see Japanese on that text file name, you probably won't get the benchmark to run properly.

You need to get your file system to also read Japanese, and when your system does read it, then you should be able to run and install the benchmark correctly.

As for the GeForce FX, I have yet to seen someone actually getting it at this moment in time. Last I checked [asked], it is [maybe] over $500 for that card. But my guess would be that, if your CPU do not max out before your GPU, then you would be well over that 6000 point mark, running at a ridiculously high resolution with everything pumped up to the max.

Right now, I am not even making full use of my new GeForce 4 Ti card because my CPU and motherboard is so old, it has become the bottleneck of my system.

Has anybody tried to run the benchmark on a ps2? What sort of a score do you think they would get?

Right...it's not compatible...but... That'd be cool anyway.

My question is just what a ps2 would score in comparison...

Someone would have to make a completely new program that runs on the PS2, but then the scoring would 99.9% most likely be different. I'd have to say since the game was made to run on the PS2, its probably around 5000 or so since all PS2s have the same stuff and all computers ahve different stuff. It's most likely on the high end, but we will most likely never know
